I started doing genealogy in 1997. I have always loved history and I felt that genealogy was an extension of that. |
The family names that I research is Anderson, which appears to start at the time of the American Revolution in the Carolinas. Then apparently moving westward into Alabama, then Mississippi, Louisiana and finally into East Texas.
Mangum and Kirkley which start in Chesterfield, SC, somewhere between the American Revolution and the Civil War. They then move west settling in Northwest Louisiana.
Owens, which my research begins in Missouri.
Shaw, I have very little information except that my great grandfather lived in Texas in the late 1800's.
Butler and Timmons, which my research has in Caddo Parish, Louisiana, prior to the Civil War, but little other information.
If you have any additional information which will give me some assistance, it will be greatly appreciated.
Perhaps we may even be related and finding relatives is always fun!

Yes. I did receive your email. Sorry I am not related. Would you like for me to transfer the memorial to you? Will send you a longer email more private.

|Laura Dougher Goodman||Edgar Owens|
Thanks for the family connection for Edgar Owens. As I made the connections I noticed that you have an account with Find A Grave and did not request a transfer. Would you like your Uncle transferred to you?
|Robert Braselton||Headstone photos|
Thanks for the headstone photos for the Lindsey and Lee gravesites in Red River Parish. Your time to do this is greatly appreciated.
|J & J King||My mistake|
I'm so sorry to have bothered you, I just realized that your memorial for Harold Reeves was made in 2009 and Looney Harold Reeves did not pass away until 2011.
|J & J King||Possible duplicate memorial|
I just realized that I may have duplicated one of your memorials, but since yours does not have birth or death dates and does not have a full name, nor is it connected to his parents, I'm not sure if it is the same person. It is the same cemetery though.
Your memorial is for Harold Reeves.
My memorial is for Looney Harold Reeves.
He was at one time my brother in law.
If it is the same person, I will delete my memorial or transfer it to you, which ever you prefer.
Your memorial # is 44548577
My memorial # is 83067036
Please let me know what to do.

I realized that after looking at the flowers you left on the memorials last night. Your mom used to tell my mom that she was named after her...my mom's middle name is Dean.
Would you like me to transfer these to you?

Thanks for the information. Jack was my mom's 2nd cousin. I remember he was always at the Council reunion every year when I was a teenager. She didn't know what his full name was.
