I have been researching my family history since I was in junior high school, and was very fortunate to have access to a lot of family records. As a child I was extremely scared of cemeteries, but as I grew in to my teenage years and became more intensely involved in my research, I found myself tromping through a lot of cemeteries. Unfortunately, I found so many monuments that were barely legible, and thought then I should try to transcribe as many as possible so that others could find their family members too. Though I have been researching for over 30 years now, I am fortunate that I still find new cousins quite regularly. I hope that some of my postings will help others to find their relatives. |
If you find anything that needs to be corrected, please let me know, and we will resolve this together. If you are a family member of one I have transcribed, and I am not, I will be happy to transfer your family member to you. I believe family members should be able to take care of their family memorials here, just as if you were taking care of the actual cemetery regardless of how closely you are related.
If you are a "cousin" I would love to hear from you and exchange information. Some of my direct family surnames are: Borders, Botner, Harman/Harmon, Houchin, Jackson, Pearman, Peery, Short, Smith, Taylor, and Thorne on my father's side and Benke, Clark, Denisiuk and Piper on my mother's side. And my husband's side include Matuse, Privette, Davis, and Boykin.
And lastly, if you would like to copy any pictures, please let me know, and if you add it to a family tree, please note it came from me. I have seen many of my photos on Ancestry.com with no mention that the photo was mine. Thanks.

I'll send to you and thank you again. I did do a memorial for my little sister that no one knows about. I'll send her memorial number to you. I did a good job on her I think. I did want to add a saying under her picture but could not figure that out ,but I'm OK with what I did

Hi Cindy it's been awhile and I have a favor to ask. I have a photo of my father I would love to add to his memorial. Is there a way I can email to you or something else? I hope your holidays were good ones.
|Judy Curnell||Thank you!|
Cindy, Thank you for visiting my son Virgil. Judy

Cindy, I would like to "THANK YOU" for all the research you've done on our family. It took a lot of research, time and effort to accomplish all you've done. I will try to help you more from my end. Malinda and Oliver David Botner had a sister Lydia who married a Speairs. They settled within a few miles of Davis and Malinda Stafford. I went to the remains of their home cemetery and took down the names and dates but unfortunately the research is at the Desoto Co. Genealogy Society I Desoto Co. I think I'll call them in the next few days and ask them for the file. May I ask you if you know where Ralph Stafford's wife, Jane, is buried. I read somewhere that she married a Mr. Henry and moved to Johnson Co. Ky. I haven't found a trace of them tho. Thanks Donna Jamison
Thanks for the corrections, geraldine
