Longley Cemetery
Hello, I was viewing the Longley Cemetery and noticed you took a photo of this cemetery, my question is this: The Annapolis County GenWeb projects describes this cemetery as the "Paradise Lane Longley Cemetery which I believe is located in Paradise, Nova Scotia and is off of Paradise Lane but the right-up or location given in the cemetery description says it is located in Bellisle? Who ever set up this cemetery did not include a map of its location. You must know this cemetery location because you were there so could you please clarify the discrepancy between these two descriptions for this cemetery.

RE: Lydia Parker Nichols (1840-1902)
It's been a while since you left me a message regarding my inquiry for Lydia Parker Nichols (my 2nd ggrandmother) from Bear River, Nova Scotia. I have new information on her.

You are right- she was married once before marrying Evander Nichols. I obtained a copy of a marriage bond for her and William Colter (aka Coulter) dated May 12, 1860. The event took place in Nictaux, Annapolis, NS and they were married by Baptist minister W.G. Parker (Willard Graves Parker), brother of Church Morse Parker. The agreement states that both bride and groom were from Nictaux and is witnessed by Andrew Parker. (I have found 2 Andrew Parkers alive at the time in that area.)

Lydia and William Colter had 4 children together. If you want more info, please let me know.

Cousins way back
Hello N.E. -
I was just writing to say hello. It looks like we share a 7th great grandmother and grandfather - William Walker and Sarah Goodenow.
Thought I would connect if you had any interest also in comparing notes.

Lydia Parker Nichols (1840-1902)
My 2nd great grandmother, Lydia Parker Nichols lived from 1840-1902 per her gravestone in Berwick Cemetery in Berwick, NS. She married Evander Nichols in Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, year uncertain. One of her son's marriage records states that his mother was born in Bear River, Nova Scotia, but I do not know who her parents or siblings were. I believe she is closely related to Solomon S. Parker, but can't prove anything yet.

Any information anyone can provide would be so appreciated!

RE: Obadiah Pulley - Bear River, Mt. Hope Cemetery
Hi NOrman - Wonderful picture (photo shopping) job. Thank you and of course I don't mind. I've added another one of her that I thought you might like to see.
Wendy arrives in NS tomorrow night from Germany where she is posted so I'll fill her in re our contact. Thanks again.
Oh by the way - I had forgotten that "Aunt Mag's" mother was a Rosencrantz. That's my descendent - my great great g/mother was a Rosencrantz. So I'm on that track looking for info.
Bye for now, Linda Miller

RE: Obadiah Pulley - Bear River, Mt. Hope Cemetery
Hi - yes this is my great uncle Obadiah Pulley and his wife Margaret - my mother (age 90) refers to her still as Aunt Mag. I had another picture of just her which I gave to Mike Parker who is also her gg grandson (or is it one g?). Anyway - yes that is Margaret Berry Parker.
Is there a chance you knew my sister Wendy Miller? Seems to me she went to school with a Norman Morgan. We lived in South Milford. Anyway, you never know who you're related to anymore.
Bye for now, Linda Miller

Thank you very much for finding my ancestors grave and picture. My grandfather is a Snow and he never talk about his family. My sister and I started our family tree about 10 yrs ago and have found a lot
of information. Most of my grandfather's ( Alfred Harold Snow) family was born in Nova Scotia,Canada.
My grandfather has been gone for 35 yrs. I often wonder if he knew about his ancestors.
Again thank you

I luckily found a memorial page for my 9th Great-Grandfather, Francis Andrews. I have very little information on the Andrews family. If you happen to have any information (GEDCOMS, Etc.), please contact me. If you need it, my Email address is on my profile.
