Going forward, unless there is a compelling reason, I will only transfer listings of people someone knew closely, i.e. parent, child or close friend. I'm sorry, but someone who died 200 years ago could be related to thousands of people. I prefer you add one of my listings under your umbrella using the virtual cemetery feature at Find A Grave. If you have additional information, I will happily add it and list you as the contributor.
Also, please do not ask me add an obituary to a person's memorial. See Find A Grave policy below:
Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?
It is best to not copy obituary notices from newspapers to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so. In general, obituaries in newspapers are submitted by the family. If the obituary is added to the memorial record, it should list the newspaper and date the obit was printed. Find A Grave reserves the right to remove obituary notices from memorial records.
Obituaries for "famous" individuals are usually written by newspaper staff and can not be posted to Find A Grave.
Please do not include website addresses that may be listed in the obituary as they usually expire within a year after the obituary is printed.

Rich, I noted on the memorial for Gorus Storm Find A Grave Memorial# 10341106, he is connected to John Storms Find A Grave Memorial# 33195723. I do not think this is correct. I have John Storm as the son of Gorus and Jannetje Willems. I think this Gorus is the son of Henderick and Marytje Van Wert. Do you have any proof of this connection?
|Joseph Parente||Maria Masi|
Her maiden name was DeLaurentis, which appears on her Social Security Application, and on her 1931 NY passenger list. In the first document her birth town is listed as Baiano, (Avellino, Campania, and on the 2nd, she is using her maiden name, going to her husband, Antonio Masi, and she listed her last residence as Baiano, listing her father as her closest relative there. My question: Where did the information that she was born in Reggio Calabria come from?

You may want to rearrange the sort order of Stark
Paget's photos. Funny, he is included in my list
of managed memorials. Maybe a Find A Grave glitch? No matter....

Thanks Rick I will, for some reason I didn't see it, (linda P) must have been a banner or ad covering part of the page. I've been having trouble on and off with the site. I'll try again though, thanks for getting back to me! Kim

They are about a mile away from one another. I've seen his stone at KH which is closer to the Milford Mall.

Hi Rich, pardon the intrusion, but I was just wondering if you are a descendant of Elizabeth and Lawrence Sutherland. They are my 6th gr grandparents. While I have lots of info on Lawrence, I know little about Elizabeth. I was hoping you might have a source for her birth place being in Scotland, as I did not know that. Also, was her own surname Sutherland as well? I realize you may not have any of this info, but thought I'd try. Thank you ! Kim England McGuirk
Rich. Fine work. I'm a novice civil war guy. I finished a diligent walking tour of the grounds and thought I collected the names of most of the men. However In researching the internet I.e. (Find a grave) I've come across many more men. I plan to give my findings to the caretakers for any future civil war history tour. The question I have concerns but is not limited to pvt. Thomas Doyle k.i.a.may, 1863. Is there any marker to indicate resting place so As to add to survey map. Thanks B. Reed

If a 1918 death record says someone was buried in "Fairview Cemetery" in "Jersey City" ... is that record referring to Fairview Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Fairview, NJ, or to a different cemetery? Thanks!

Thanks so much!
