My name is|
I am into History.
I am a Civil War reenactor with the unit
8th Regimental Illinois Volunteer Cavalry
I have been looking locally for the real members of this unit and have been placing them on F.A.G.
We should never forget those
that came before us.
Find a Grave is a great way to honor them.
Also my friend Nancy Potter was putting her friends and family in with me. May she Rest In Peace.
And to those that have Sponsored my Interments. I, Thank you

Your uncle was a hero to many. I knew him when he was retired and suffering from effects of years of mistreatment as WWII POW.
He almost died but recovered. Spoke at church of having to wait on heaven a little longer using Philippians 1:23-24 as his text. I'll never forget. His faith lives on as example to me.

Went to church in Oceanside California with Chick back in 1990-1. He is still an inspiration to me today.
Recently read "Unbroken" about POWs in the Pacific and thought of Chick again. Do you have any account or stories of those days for this American Hero?
