Cedar Cemetery, Cedar, KS
We have no record of anyone by the name of Achey being buried in the Cedar Cemetery.

Do you have an obituary that states that they are buried in the Cedar Cemetery, Cedar, KS?

They were not recorded when the DAR walked the cemetery in 1989

Thank you. Betty Sears

Arthur McMillan and his son, Alva
I see on the 1865 Census that Arthur & Rebecca lived in Harmony, so it is the correct family. I know the person that handles the cemetery records for Big Spring Cemetery, I will check with him to see if anyone was buried at this plot. What a mystery!

Arthur McMillan & his son Alva
The photo of the stone I took of Arthur McMillan and his son, Alva, is from the Big Spring Cemetery in Harmony, MN. I'm wondering if this is a different Arthur McMillan than the one posted for the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cresco, IA. I could very possibly have the incorrect information listed as I thought it was bizarre that they would be buried at Big Spring when the rest of the family was buried at Oak Lawn. I will have to do some investigating.

RE: Rebecca McMillan
Thanks for sorting out the listings. I know on some other people I have obits that say the person will be interred in a particular cemetery but they have a gravestone in a different one. It gets confusing, so that was why I bothered you (to see if you had more info). I appreciate your patience with me and my questioning emails. :) Thanks for posting them. I appreciate your work on here!

RE: John Henry Mathews
I was happy to do is sad that one of the neighbors got tired of mowing around the stones and just piles them up in and around that stand of trees.

The neighbors across the backyard are going to see they are not destroyed and will also probe the ground to see if they can find the others.

In a while, you will be able to view the cemetery pictures. The cemetery is located between the backyards of 2 houses.

Patricia Barnett
Hi, I went to the cemetery first thing this morning to look for the new stone. I take a lot of photo's there, and had passed that small marker numerous times. So I went to the section where Patricia is buried, and could not even find that small marker anymore, and no new stone. If the cemetery has taken that old one up,then it must be getting close to time for them to put the other one down. I will keep checking back.
