I've enjoyed genealogy since the early 70s when I would send out letters typed on a manual typewriter left over from college and enclosed a SASE (self addressed stamped envelope).
I've lived in Alaska since 1968. On trips "outside" I'd visit cemeteries where my ancestors were buried. I like to stand at the gravesite and look around at the surroundings knowing this is what my people saw when they said goodby to a loved one.
I've been fortunate to inherit family photographs and have uploaded those to Find-a-Grave.
In the summer of 2013 I helped update the records of the Spruce Grove Cemetery in Kasilof, Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska. In October of 2013, I photographed markers in the Anchor Point, Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska cemetery and added burials which were missing to Find a Grave. In June 2015 I added Tyonek burials listed in the 2004 book Cemetery Inscriptions and Area Memorials in Alaska's Kenai Peninsula Borough. I am willing to transfer any Spruce Grove, Anchor Point and Tyonek burials.
Spent the holidays 2013-14 in Boulder, Boulder County, Colorado and took photographs of some of the markers in the Mountain View Cemetery. I worked on photographing the markers in that cemetery every time I visit. As I travel, I take photographs of markers and if they aren't listed I add the people to Find a Grave ... most recently Kodiak City Cemetery in August 2015. I am very willing to transfer any of these entries.
Thank you for having such a site.

RE: Aurela Ripley
I understand. And that is the correct way of doing things, until you find a source: "Winslow memorial, family records of Winslows and their descendants in America, with the English ancestry as far as known
Volume I.Back matter"

"Aurelia Winslow married Eleazer Pratt. They had two daughters, AURELIA and Rachel, who married two brothers, Soloman and Simeon Ripley." Page 451 of 1536 at

This will help everyone to source her correctly and not get thrown off with the misspellings.

I do want to addthis also, that I never take the name written on the gravestone as the truth. I've seen many errors on stones over the years. It's always good to get other sources and compare.

I am related through the sister of Aurelia Winslow, Celia Winslow. Celia is the mother-in-law of my 2nd great-grandmother, Esther Emery. Many regards, Mike Daigle

Mohn Family
Hi Kari,

I live in Berks County, PA...very close to where the Mohn Family originally settled near Mohn's Hill and the town of Mohnton. My link to the Mohn family is Susanna Mohn, who was Ludwig Mohn's daughter.

Thank you so much for the photo added to the memorials of my cousin Roberta Carmichael and her husband.

Is it permissible to add your photo to our Ancestry tree - with a credit line?

Appreciate all the work you do for Find A Grave!

RE: Seward cemeteries
Thanks so much for your reply...I knew I was asking the right person for information! I don't have time right now to continue with figuring out the correct place for the duplicates, but I'm sure when I get to it I'll be getting back to you.

Sergei Ivanoff information
Bless you, for doing this work, and for preserving the history of people you don't know or have a connection to. You have just given a great gift to the families of Sergei Ivanoff. His roots have been completely inaccessible, hidden away - until this information was recorded and posted! I hope you are blessed by the work you do - and that someone else will unselfishly do the same and give YOU that 'missing link'!

William Spencer Stevens
William was a 3rd cousin, and it is gratifying to see the detailed information you researched and posted re: his death in Germany during WWII, including the fact that he was the second son to die for his country. His service shall always be remembered, thanks to your efforts. His brother, Paul Tyring is interred in France.
This is definitely one of the better memorials I have seen at Find A Grave. Thank you, again.
