My ancestors settled in northeastern Indiana in the 1830s and I am still here. I especially like old obituaries and newspaper clippings, and of course, cemeteries.
I generally follow the transfer guidelines as outlined by Findagrave. I try to get updates done quickly. Exceptions: I often take photos when we go on vacation, so if I have a memorial that is not in NE Indiana, I am normally more than happy to transfer it as I have no plans to do research in those areas.
Thanks to all who have sent additional information for the memorials. Time does not allow me to thank each of your personally, but please know that the additional information is greatly appreciated.

 | John Alexander Ream Jr. Hi, My name is Alanna and I was wondering if you would consider transfering John's file #44238044 to me. I'm maintaining his family for his great grandson (my boyfriend) Earl. I'll definitely keep all info on it as is. Wonderful to see such info. Seems the military is in the Ream blood :) And kudos to all the work you are doing, quite impressive! Sincerely, Alanna | | | Alanna Campbell

 | Abraham Barhisel Hey Sheryl, Do you happen to know or can you find information about an Abraham Barhisel who served in the 12th Indiana Infantry, Co. I, during the Civil War? He supposedly was struck by lighting while passing though North Manchester on May 11th 1865. I'd love to know the details and where he is buried. He was born around 1830 and he enlisted in LaPorte, IN. Thanks, Eric | | | | [View all messages...] |
