Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy for the last fifteen years. The main names I am researching are Abernathy, Coley, Higgins, Howell, Knight, Ledford, Roach, Moss, Whitmore, and Williams.

My other hobby is photography. I take photos of everything from cemeteries to concerts.

If you see any of my photos that are very tiny (ie. the size of a postage stamp), please let me know. Several years ago, the Find A Grave website had a weird glitch that made dozens and dozens of my photos the size of a thumbnail pic. I did not upload these tiny pictures. If you will let me know, I can hopefully replace them with a normal size picture.

Please note that I don't have editorial control over memorials that are listed as famous. If changes or corrections need to be made, please contact the Find A Grave admins.

I have created a website dedicated to my family cemetery, the Old Macedonia Cemetery of Bartow County. You can find it by following the link below.

And please be aware that just because I have taken a cemetery photo, it does not mean that I operate the cemetery or have anything to do with the cemetery. I only took a photograph.

Any photos that were taken by me may be used on genealogy websites such as ancestry.com. You have my permission. All I ask is that I am given photography credit.

Greetings - my records show I contacted the other memorial owner offering to transfer my memorial to him/her, but I don't see that I ever received a reply. I'll give it another try, thanks :)

Croft Family Cemetery in Woodstock
Hi Blues,

I work in the little 4-story office building beside this cemetery. On the directions for the cemetery you have that it is beside the bank. I need to let you know that the bank has been gone for over probably 4 years and the space remains vacant at present. I'd suggest to just remove that it's beside the bank, just say it's beside the 4-story building at 8681 Hwy 92, Woodstock, GA 30189, and the cemetery on the building's west side. Target (and Petsmart) are across the street.

Regards,
Laurie

Find A Grave Memorial# 10332817
I have alerted creator of Find A Grave Memorial# 62973705 that it is a duplicate of this.

Dr Bomar was the son of
Reverend Thomas Bomar 1770 – 1830, Find A Grave Memorial# 21325444, and
Elizabeth Carlton High 1782 – 1856, Find A Grave Memorial# 62986946 (buried in this same cemetery)
and husband of Sarah Elizabeth Lumpkin Haynes 1826 – 1916,
Find A Grave Memorial# 62973795.

It is interesting to note that as mayor of Atlanta, he purchased the 6 acres upon which the Oakland Cemetery is located.
Dr. Bomar was commissioned as an officer in the CSA and
served as the paymaster of the Georgia's 28th Infantry at a rank of captain.

Parenthetically, I want to tell you that I am very impressed by your body of work. I cannot imagine the effort that you have expended. Please know that there are thousands of strangers who know your work - and greatly appreciate it.

Thank you,
Vonnie

Landis grave
Hi! I am in search for my grandfather Guy Landis, Jr. When I went to Find A Grave hoping to see a photo of his grave, it just came up with a photo of the front of the cemetery, posted by you. Do you have any photos of any graves inside Nashville National Cemetery? His plot is OO, 130. If not, do you take any requests, or know how I can get one? Thank you in advance!

RE: Moss
Hi again

Maybe you know something I cant find

I have an ancestor, Harriet R. Moss, b. about 1792, d. 24 Feb 1870. Depending which source you believe, I have seen her listed as bring born in GA, NC, and England. I find record of her in Jones County, GA teaching scool. Thats where she married Frederick R. Tucker on 8 Jun 1825. He took back to Burke County (now Caldwell Co) NC. where she is recorded as the first female techer of that county (go figure). The Tuckers migrated to Cleveland, Bradley Co TN. Frederick died in 1835. She married secondly a Crnelius Howard. She has a marker at the Ft. Hill Cem in Bradley Co, TN

Any guesses, hunches, or thoughts ?
