Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am the only son of two wonderful parents, Richard L. and Jo Ella Herron, both deceased. My father's early life was largely unhappy; his first wife became pregnant with another man's child while he was away serving our country onboard the USS Flint during WWII. He divorced her but she would go on to have three more children out of wedlock and make his life pretty miserable. He married my mom Jo Ella in 1946 and they were married till his death in 1985. While I'm still around, I'm pretty committed to making sure the world knows the truth about his first marriage. I enjoy geneology, history and work for a small software company in Dallas, Texas.

RE: Richard L Herron
I tried looking for her and I couldn't find her, now I know why different last name. By the way, could I use the pics you have on their memorials for my tree on Ancestry?

RE: Thanks
Rick, I went back today and the marker next to the empty spot is Ruth McKinnell, who is the same person as Winnie Ruth Judd, aka Marian Lane, according to the memorial under Winnie's name. I added another photo, but this memorial will probably end up being merged with the other one.

Marian Lane
I am now wondering why I was given a location in a different area of the cemetery, without a marker. I'm going to have to check into this because it is probably a different Marian Lane.

RE: Thanks
Wait a minute... there is a marker for Winnie Ruth Judd McKinnell, because I remember this from a few years ago. See memorial #38515595.

I am about to fulfill your photo request but the photo is only of the area. I am sorry to report that there is no marker. The grave location is the exact center of the photo. The names on either side are Barber/Ashford on the left and McKinnell on the right.

I wish this could have been a more positive outcome.

Sincerely,
Bonnie

Family photos
Rick,
I just thought I would let you know that the beautiful photos are now on all 3 memorials!
Do you know what it says on the back of your mom's younger pic? :)
Donna

To get the black and white photo of your mom off there, if you want to, just click on the pic and then it will change to the regular size view with two options at the top of the page. One says "edit caption" and the other one says "delete photo"

I will try and get to a Fed-Ex place this coming week and get the photos back to you!

Thank you for intrusting them to me!
