Verna Moody
Thanks for all you have done on Find a Grave. Do you have any information on Verna Moody? A note said she died of burns....we have heard family stories but not from her husband or their side of the family. Would love to talk w someone who may know something about her death. Thanks. I was unable to find her parents, although I did find her husband. Either they don't have memorials on Find A Grave or they are garbled somehow. The earliest I have been able to locate her is in the 1920 census in Salt Lake City, by which time she is already married.

Hi D L.,

It turns out Neilson is her mother's maiden name, her maiden name is Turpin -- sometimes the California Death Index fouls these up but in this case they were right. I found a social security application which listed the correct information but I am also adjusting her birth date by a year. Her father was Joseph Turpin and her mother was Hannah Neilson, I am going to see if I can find memorials for them.

Lyman request
There is only a temporary marker which is over a year old. The cemetery removes them when needed to mark another site, usually after 6 months. It is very faded.

RE: Additional Averett Memorial
I looked online but was unable to find out where Jessie and Viola are buried so far. I'll keep trying. Viola was probably buried in Washington State where she lived when she died.

Jerusha Bishop
I found a Jerusha Bishop b. 21 Dec 1786 d. 25 Dec 1845 in Bishop Cemetery on Bateman Road, Stephentown, NY. Also Moses Bishop b. 4 MAR 1786 D 13 Apr 1845, while looking for someone else. Are they the two you are looking for?

Hi there- I took more pictures in Block 54, where Martha Neureither is buried, and there is no marker for her that is visible. There may be a temp marker that has been covered up. I will post several pictures from different views and this summer will hopefully be uncovering some more temp markers in this Block, and will look for her.
