I have been working on my family history since about 2004, but have just recently begun using Find A Grave. I am excited by the possibilities Find A Grave offers for sharing information and making new discoveries. Surnames I am working on in particular are Ripke, Nehring, Anderson, Hubbard, Brewer, Brown, Wright, Scharff, Rahn, Carter and Robbins.|

You are very welcome. I always hope someone will see one of the memorials that I have so little information on and make it one worthy of the life it represents. In trying to photograph an entire cemetery (with a friend) we have not gotten to research everyone, so thank you!

I posted this memorial with others buried in Mt. Hope whose military service is noted on their gravestones. So no, I'm not related. If you'd like me to transfer this memorial to you, just let me know! ~Karen

No problem. Thank you for doing the update and you're welcome. If a family has passed, I find it helpful knowing where everyone is buried.

If you choose not to use the bio I submitted, please bump it back to me as I neglected to save it in its finally edited form and would like a file copy. The Chittendens were good friends from the time he served under my Dad's leadership in Uss Quincy, and my parents "lent" me to help them move from DC to Norfolk my first summer leave from USNA when he went to report as exec of the carrier FDR. I jumped at the unpaid job as I was smitten with their gorgeous daughter, but sadly for my hopes, she was away visiting family. He flew me back to DC in the ship's SNJ, giving me my first aerial view of the Chesapeake and the Academy. Mrs. Chittenden was very gracious to me and slipped me a 20 to go out with my friends from my Dad's previous tour in Norfolk.

Kathy, thank you for your wonderful management of Morris and Zoe's memorials. I also added a photo to Morris's and two to Zoe's.

Kathy, you did a wonderful job on my father-in-law's memorial. I added a couple close up photos of the marker if that is OK. I also deleted my duplicate. Thank you for managing the memorial.
