I am another lover of history and genealogy. After 25 years of research, I have a pretty good idea of how I came to be, and it's been fascinating!|
The majority of the memorials that I have posted are of people who are related to me, and in many cases I know more about them than what I have written in FindaGrave. If you want to ask about them, use either the Edit button on their page or leave a message here.
Most the photos I have posted however are on memorials created by others, and they are of people who are not related to me. The "photos" are from sources published 1922 and earlier, which puts them in the public domain. I put them up in hopes that actual relatives will find them and be able to use them. Note: If you wish to know the source of a photo, click on it for an enlarged version. I write the source in the photo's caption which appears underneath.
If you find a picture of one of your ancestors that I posted, you are free to copy it for your personal use and/or include it in your family tree on Ancestry.com. Please however ask for permission if you intend to use a photo in a published work (and thanks to the folks who have bothered to ask me).
Two of my favorite verses: "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." (John 3:17) and "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12)

Thank you. Take a look. I think you'll agree the replacement is of better quality.

You have posted an image of William Salter to his findagrave memorial. His memorial has reached the limit of 5 images which can be posted without someone sponsoring the memorial. I have a similar image of better quality I'd like to post in place of your image, but don't want to remove your image if you'd prefer it remain.

Thank you for your quick reply. We would love to see the documents you referred to. Do you know if the "T" in Samuel's name stands for Thomas?
We both retired a year ago and are just getting into Derald's (my husband) family history. It is great to know there are experts in the family doing great things! We would love to keep in touch and lean on your expertise.

Nathaniel must be in the front. Those stones are much older and many are difficult to read. The ones posted are in a family plot in the center southern part of the cemetery. It is not a large cemetery and it right beside the town hall. The back corner of the town hall in the cemetery is where I found the ones posted. The others would be near the road. Can look right now, too much snow. lol

I do not know where the Nathaniel came from. I will have to dig the death date up to see if it is the same as another stone there.
Actually this Matthew stone is broken and the other half is behind it. By my self it was hard to put the two back together and take a pic. It is beside a Julian Whitcher. Does that help? I have a pic of the two side byside.

|Chesnut/Behunin Descendant||RE: Lydia Hardy (1613-1689)|
I wish I could be more helpful to you. You know these early dates are touchy.
My Verified Research are those who are named in Cemetery Records, usually my first hit of a person. Census I know Errors do occur but I call it stalk the family through them from birth to 1940. 3 libraries, 2 museum's and 2 Archives. And sometimes still scratch.
I can fairly well document people who have been in my region. My Mom and my Hubby's family are here.
My Dad and my son's bio mother I have to rely on out of area. THANK GOD for the friends I have met on this site. I cannot thank them the same way they help me so I try to pay it forward and give someone else goose bumps.
MOST are not connected to me, but I have the info and put it out there.
Those date's On Lydia's are very likely going to be from Familysearch. This is the jumping off point. I try to find collaborating information.
.I am a cheap skate I will not pay for this information beyond Copy the documents I find and the hours it takes to find the info.
I have a lot of available recourses to me in my area that are free and do my best. Sometimes I have to
HOPE others find the memorial and offer their research and sources. This is why I love this site. I am so Sorry. I WISH I COULD HELP YOU MORE.
