Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm way behind! Please do not forward your requests to Find A Grave. If you have waited more than 30 days for your correction, please re-send the correction to me. Transfers for the sole purpose of transferring will not be done. If you have information, please send it to me. Of course I honor transfer requests for those within guidelines and for those you loved in life. I'll consider any transfer for which you have a good reason. I just don't have time to transfer memorials if you have nothing to add.

All the marriage years I have entered are for sorting purposes only and should not be used for genealogy research or any other purpose.

If I have prepared a memorial for your immediate family member and you would like it transferred to you, please use the Suggest a Correction link located by clicking the Edit tab in the upper right hand corner of each memorial. In your message, please state your relationship to the deceased. I will consider distant family members, friends and totally unrelated people if you have something to contribute which I have not done already.

Also, if you find any errors I have made, please use the Suggest a Correction link. I appreciate people helping me fix my errors. Also please send any additional information you have (including Family Links) and I will add it to the memorial. If you don't hear back from me within 3 weeks, please feel free to ask again.

Thanks to all who flower any of the memorials which I created, but especially my parents.

I love Find A Grave and I especially enjoy adding photos to memorials so that family members can visit their family member's graves at anytime. However, I ask that you respect my efforts. Please, do NOT copy my photos to ancestry.com without giving me credit. Simply indicate © 2006-2012 J.Sullivan on Find A Grave. I'd appreciate a note letting me know you have copied them. However, do NOT post them to other Find A Grave memorials. Just let me know and I will upload them. If you want to use them for commercial purposes or to create your own web site, that is not allowed under any circumstances. However, it is okay with me for you to post my photos of your friends and families headstones on Facebook as long as you link it back to the Find A Grave memorial. Please note that other members may have different opinions on this and you should honor their wishes. It is illegal to copy a photo without the photographer's consent.

Important notices posted in the forums:

Per Mark, the admin:

1. Location of body unknown should be used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. You should however make every effort to locate the final disposition and update it as soon as possible.

2. See part 1. Not everyone in my direct family has been located and thus none of them are linked. I make notes in bios of those who have known locations. Such as "Son of X and Y" or "Also father of X". What I do is look for new listings and ask for updates when a generous member has finally found a missing relative.

3. No duplicates are allowed. Period.

This is Find A Grave and long-term unknown dispositions solely for the purpose of creating family links is outside the main intent of the website.

Per AJ, the admin:

Photograph the grave/gravesite "in-situ", or as it appears in that moment in time. The purpose is to show the grave as it is, be it dirty, cluttered, broken, or pristine. It is not your job to clean it, clear it, fix it, or decorate it. The graves are not yours to do as you please. Remember, one person's "good deed" just might be another person's vandalism. Go take lots of photos...but do it like an anthropologist and do not disturb the grave site.

Management Transfers
Julie, If you want more management transfers, I will be happy to do so. My primary interest is in having accurate and well documented memorials, not a numbers game. Your contributions have been great!

Hi Julie, The death date for Frances Dorcas Jones is 1846. She was born in Orange County, Virginia, on 1762. You might want to add this. Thank you.

RE: Jessie and Loy Families (and Pyle)
Julie,

Sorry it took me a little bit to get back to you, I had someone else who had already asked me about sending them the books, Judy Smith. However, she said she thought you would get better use out of them and asked me to send them to you instead because she believed you would use them well and then get them into the proper hands as you deemed appropriate.

I have no problem sending them to you so you can use them and then have you donate them to the library if you think that's best. Judy made the suggestion of donating them to the library and it sounds like a good idea to me :)

If you send me the address you would like them sent to, I can get them out to you by media mail.

I don't charge anything for them (I would feel weird trying to sell people their family Bibles...just feels wrong), however, if when they arrive you decide to send a check to help with postage, I wouldn't mind :).

Thank you for your interest! Glad that someone will be able to appreciate them.

Jessie and Loy Families (and Pyle)
Not sure whether you have any relation to the Jessie family or not, but since you added so much information on them I figured I would contact you.

I have recently come into the possession of two family Bibles in an estate sale. One of the family Bible's belonged to Goldie Pyle, as a gift from her daughter June Jessie (who's full name was Mary J. Pyle when born) and one looks to be a Jessie family Bible.
June's 2nd marriage was to Bob Jessie.
Inside the Pyle Bible was a picture, bookmarks, and news clippings.

The other Bible I have is probably a Jessie or Loy family Bible, it does not say who it belonged to. Last names listed in it are Jessie, Loy, Wilson, Bryant, Coomer, and a couple others it looks like.

I would love to pass these on to any family members who may want them.

Thanks,
Katie
