Bio and Links
Bio Photo I became interested in Genealogy in 2001 and have been creating the Merrell Family Tree_2009-10-27 ever since that time. The tree covers mainly the following family surnames for me and my late wife, Barbara Marie Folds: Merrell, King, Walker, Lyle, Folds, Easterwood, Crews, Kilgore, & includes many other surnames. This is a public tree online at and it currently has over 106,000 persons in it. My wife, Vera P. Kilgore, [Marie's 2nd cousin, but no blood kinship to me] has the same Kilgore ancestor line as Marie did. Vera has her own Kilgore-Smallwood-Langham-Harris-Voss Families 2 public Tree online at with over 33,000 persons in it.
I learned a few years ago that Find-A-Grave is very useful for finding and adding information and photos to persons in my tree during researches, and have started creating Memorials for my family members on Find-A-Grave for the benefit of other Genealogists.

RE: Capp
I do live in Ottawa KS, It is considered Old by KS standards, many of our downtown buildings are from the late 1800's City began in 1861 original a settlement of Missionaries and Indians.
My only grandson graduated from KU also can't remember the year right now. His wife was a graduate of it also and she still works in the admissions office. Corrine drives to Lawrence everyday. not far at all. They finally got the new highway finished and open so it only takes about 20 min to get there.
I wondered what happened to Vera now I know. I really appreciate the information you have shared.

Thank you so much for the information about Lenna Capp. I had corresponded with Vera Kilgore some years ago but lost contact. Minnie Ola was my mother-in-law. She did not have much interest in family history nor did any of her sons. Some of my children & grandchildren are interested as long as grandma does the searching.

Hello Jerry. You've suggested that Beatrice is her middle name and Elizabeth is her first name. Can you tell me where you found this information and I'll be glad to make the change. Or I can just make a note in her bio that her name may be Elizabeth Beatrice. Thanks very much.

RE: The four Schwarz Memorials @ West View Cemetery
My pleasure. I figured you were busy. Sometimes I just go ahead and do it so I don't forget about the photos. I am glad you are able to use them. Have a good day.

Schwarz's at Westview
Hello Jerry
Someone asked me for a photo for Gertrude Schwarz and I added it. There were 3 other Schwarz's in the same lot:

Bertha Schwarz 1881 -1953
Phillip Schwarz 1861-1923

and Phillip J. Schwarz 1899- 1983

I have sent two messages to the requester to ask them to make pages for them so I can upload the photos but have gotten no response. I don't think they even acknowledged the photo I found for them. ??

Would you like to make the pages and send separate photo requests for each please?

Thanks so much

I'm helping my 84-year-old neighbor research her family. She is a descendant of John L. Walker b. 1866 in GA and wife Otella Bell Howell b. 1870 in GA. If you have any help on this line, please contact us. Thank you or
