RE: Henry G. Hodges
Yes, I'd seen that, but I'm not sure it's correct due to the following Notice Virgil Y, born Nov 1887 -- I don't have the 1890 census or substitute, and Henry Clay Hodges died in 1904:

1900 census Precinct 4, Falls county, Texas (All are transcribed as Hiregs on ancestry.com, but looking at the actual census it is clearly Hodges.) Family 357
Henry C. Hodges, HOH, born Jul 1858 in Alabama (transcribed as Henry C. Hiregs), white male married to Mollie for 14 years married abt 1886, father born in Georgia, mother born in Virginia, Farmer, renting farm.
Mollie Hodges, wife age 31, born Nov 1868 in Texas, married to Henry for 14 years, 8 children born and 5 living, father born in Tennessee and mother born in Alabama

Virgil Y. Hodges, son, age 12, born Nov 1887 in Texas

Zarasha J. Hodges, daughter, age 10, born Apr 1890 in Texas
Millie F. Hodges, daughter, age 8, born Jan 1892 in Texas
Lucy I. Hodges, daughter, age 4, born Dec 1895 in Texas
Frank Clay Hodges, son age 1, born Aug 1898 in Texas

RE: Henry G. Hodges
I am related to some Hodges:
William Elias Hodges b abt 1760 in GA - d 1840 AL
and his daughter Jemima DuBois Hodges m. Laird Beatty Fleming.
Yes, her brother, Homer Virgil Hodges moved to Texas--b.1818 in GA- d. 1867 in Falls county, TX. They had a son Henry Clay Hodges, d. 1904 in Falls county, TX. I don't have a record for a Henry G. Hodges, sorry.
