RE: Marion Cranston The information I added came right from the tombstones, the rest came from you. I visit that cemetery quite often.
The reason I was asking was because my daughter (12 years old at the time) does historical reenactments and we were out in that cemetery for a "photo shoot" and I took what is my favorite photo of her in period clothes next to that monument....I thought maybe if it was your family you'd like to see the photo.
RE: Safford The office does not have a listing for Frank A Safford. Perhaps you could check with the original person who posted the memorial to see if they have any information. I will delete the photo request unless you can find more information. Sorry I couldn't help. Perhaps the Frank C Safford listed on the back of the memorial is the actual Frank you are seeking.
RE: Safford 1931 for the death date - There was a Frank C Safford on the rear of the marker whom I thought was the Frank A Safford you were looking for but the dates were totally different so I deleted the photo I had attached to the memorial. Apologies for that - I didn't check the dates before posting. I'll have to check with the office again to find Frank A. Linda
RE: Sarah Curtis , Columbia Co. do you have any true resources, an Ancestry.tree isn't really a resource as people can make those however they want , a book, a history, clipping, old document etc would be best. If not I am happy to put the actual birth year in the bio as probable with a note that Trees on Ancestry indicate this.
RE: Kahl You're very welcome. Happy to help. This was a very large, very crowded lot. I presume the angel sculpture once stood atop the column monument. There was one other small stone in this lot. The top was inscribed "PAPA" but it had sunk and the only inscription still visible was "IN MEMORY". I can send you that photo, as I am not sure to whom the stone belonged.
