Thomas A. Jones, Jr
Dear Nancy,

Thank you very much for your thoughtful & sensitive message posted about our fallen Flying Tiger, Tom Jones. He is pictured with his squadron mates from the 2nd Pursuit Squadron PANDA BEARS in front of one of their P-40 fighter aircraft.

Tom Jones
My mother was first cousin to Tom Jones and use to go to school with him. She related to me how she use untie his horse and he would have to walk two miles home. He never complained and always found his horse at home. I had two cousins die at the battle of the bulge. My father flu B-24s and had 34 missions over Europe.
My mother name was Betty Maxson and her brother was Bruce Maxson and they lived on Russel Creek across from old Maxson school.
