RE: John T. son of Lavinia
Thank you Marilyn for John and Lavinias history. I was curious about what happened to the child John T. since William H. and Margaret McCarty Woolcutt are also listed with a child born 1859 but they are calling him Jerry A. My great grandfather William Woolcut has a second 1882 marriage record with a Sarah Tyler in Searcy county Arkansas but great grandmother Margaret J. McCarty Woolcutt was still living in Martin township according to her Russellviille Courier newspaper 1907 obit. Now he was a character! Thank you!

RE: John T. son of Lavinia
I will take another look at my dna Smith matches. I have my grandfather Ed Alford Woolcut in Clark twp. Pope county 1880 shows he was born in 1871 but have not been able to place his mother Margaret McCarty born 1840 MS.The dna match may be on the Smiths in NC. maybe Margaret's mother. Our family histories are funny. They did the best they could and we are alive to prove it. Can you share with me who the other Margaret Smith was John Smith married.

RE: John T. son of Lavinia
Thank you so much Marilyn. I was wondering if little John T. could have been adopted. What happened to Lavinia? just curious because I saw the death ddate for John died in 1901? I have about 15 Smith dna matches now and trying to place them in the right genealogy families. thank you! Nancy
