E. S. Davis Neal Cemetery
I am so grateful for people who are posting this fabulous information. Thank you!
The question I would like to ask is: you have the grave indexed as E.S. Davis as Ephriam Davis-spouse Rebecca Thorn. Where did the name come from? I am trying to be sure that the E S Davis I am researching is actually Ephriam Seely Davis. Any help you could give me would be really appreciated.

two Emanuel C Fowlers
The oldest or "First" Emanuel Fowler lived from 1819 to 1903. He had a grandson receive that name born in 1888. He did not die in 1903. He married and had two daughters, living in Edwardsville, IL. I have to recheck his date of death but someone confused the two names. The elder Fowler is buried in the original, smaller cemetery in Cowden, not Mound cemetery. Emanuel's youngest son, Burt is buried there along with some other family members.

RE: Henry Spangler
My wife is descended from Nathaniel Spangler. I'm trying to get him added as a child to your memorial from Henry. Spangler is my wife's maiden name. She's from Indiana. She and both her mom and dad now live in Texas.

Laban Smart
Hi Joy, Just wanted to let you know (in case you don't already know) that Laban Smart was originally buried in a different spot than Hagler Cemetery. I have a friend who owns the farm adjacent to Hagler Cemetery & kept telling me about this gravestone in the middle of his field. So I went today & took a picture of it, then visited Hagler Cemetery & came to realize there are stones for Laban in both spots. I added a photo of the alternate gravestone to your memorial for him. Let me know if you would rather I'd delete the photo from your memorial. Tammy
