Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live just outside of Gettysburg,Pa. I enjoy doing family research. Most of the memorials I maintain are relatives, some close, some very distant, most are related to me in some way, some not at all. I will gladly transfer memorials of those not related to me or family if you are more closely related and have more info. to add.

I would like to thank all of you that are so kind to leave token's for my family and those that take the time to fulfill my photo requests. It is much appreciated! If you have time, please visit my best friend in my virtual cemetery. I miss her so much. She was so loving and loyal and deserves to be remembered.

Any of my headstone photos may be used anywhere you'd like. No need to ask for permission. I only ask that you please give me credit for the photo. I use ancestry and have added many photos from this site to my tree- with permission first if it's not stated they can be used and I always give credit to the photographer. I feel it's the right thing to do as these volunteers spend a lot of time going out, finding the graves, photographing and posting them and I appreciate every one of them. Giving them proper credit is the least you can do.

RE: Hanna Cemetery

Yes it was posted when I was there. My husband's relatives were buried there so we took a chance to go and take pictures. As long as you are not vandalizing the area, I don't see any harm in it. I am not sure who owns the land to go and ask permission. Maybe records at the courthouse in Carlisle.

Karen, are you a relative of Modena Shaffer Smith? I am researching the Leeper Family, and looking for cousins to share information and such with?

Thank for the updated information on her. She definitely was connected to the wrong parents. I would not have made that connection personally and it was probably sent to me as a request by another member. I try to check link requests, but I get so many it is difficult to do. I really appreciate members, like you, who contact me when they see errors like this one.

Myrtle Nonemaker Roher
I just noticed the obit says she was interred in Lincoln Cemetery in Chambersburg! So, I will make a note on this second memorial and make a link to the Chambersburg memorial. People will be very confused if I don't leave the memorial.

There are 2 memorials created for Myrtle. Her obit. states she was buried in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg, Pa., but there is a stone for her and her husband in Cherry Grove Cemetery with no DOD inscribed for her. I have searched Lincoln Cemetery, but cannot find a stone for her there.
The memorial numbers for her are 93813496 and 93009662.
Will check with the historical society in Franklin County when I get the chance.

Someone probably created the Chambersburg memorial assuming she was buried there. The best way to verify where she was buried would be by her death certificate. I believe she is buried in Cherry Grove and they family didn't get the date of death carved by the stone carver. If I find out differently, I will reference the Chambersbug burial on the memorial. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
