(Currently seeking members of the 26th MI)http://groups.yahoo.com/group/26thMI/ & Please vist their Virtual Cemetery here on the FindAGraves Link.>
*** Note *** In Honor of our Veteran's: PLEASE request that your Twp have a Veteran's FLAG STAFF placed at the grave of any Veteran who may be missing one! The American Legion, V.F.W., Amvets, or Sons of Union Veteran's can also help you with the request. (& please turn them so they are viewable in your images, Thank-you!)
Remember, NEVER remove a G.A.R. Staff, even if damaged. You can ADD another Veteran's flag staff if you choose, but it is illegal to desecrate an original G.A.R. marker!
ALSO: Please Check with the Sons of the Union Veterans for additional Cemetery Information. The Department of Michigan S.U.V. has a great Data base http://www.suvcwmi.org/graves/
If you would like to add changes, please leave a message on the "Leave Flowers & a Note" section of the memorial IN ADDITION to using the Edit function. Transfers are not a problem but please note that I am often away from a computer during the summer months and it may take a while to get back to you. Thank-you!
