My Grandmother Ballinger passed the love of genealogy onto me many years ago. My northern roots are in and around Macon County, Illinois. The Ballinger & Glatz lines. My southern roots are in the Missouri Bootheel and Northeast Arkansas. William Henry Wood & Williamson lines.

Alex William Sowiak
Thank you so much for posting the pictures of Alex Sowiak's tombstone and graveyard area. They are really nice pictures. Alex was the only son of a Russian immigrant who married my 2nd cousin. None of my family records indicate that Alex was married, so this memorial and your pictures may be the best memory of him. Thank you.
