The 'Friend', General Washington mentioned on Charles Simms' headstone is that of our 1st president George Washington. Charles Simms was also one of the pallbearers at Pres. Washington's funeral....

thank you so much for putting william in find a grave i have been looking for 10 years now for my husband great grand father i have manage to find other info thur gen bank about his div for holice and her remarriage and their div led me to him in 1910 living with his sister for near twenty years then moving out on his own in the 1930's, i knew he was born in fairfax from his marriage lic here in baltimore

I'm wondering if you know who is in charge of the Newport Cemetery and if they have any records associated with Addie M. Hall (intake form with parents' names or COD, etc)? She looks like she might be my 3rd uncle's daughter, but her parents and siblings don't appear in this cemetery. Thanks.
