Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Minnesota, born and raised, and have always had a deep interest in genealogy. This is what first brought about my interest in cemeteries and taking pictures of headstones. I started by taking the pictures of my grandparents' graves as well as their parents and their siblings, then it gradually grew bigger and bigger. I now look for people I either know personally, someone I can connect back to someone I know personally or someone of special importance or significance; I work on it as a hobby in my spare time and am now working on my 6th photo album of headstone pictures. People who have a findagrave memorial and whose headsontes I also happen to have in my collection I have uploaded. I hope to be able to communicate with others who live elsewhere and can get pictures of other headstones I cannot reach due to the distance.

RE: joe kudla
i originally did one for him because i did a search for him and found nothing. when i do a search for him now i see mine, but still don't see yours. there may be other people who, when they search for him, see mine but not yours. there's no conflicting info between the two, so i see no harm in letting it stay. feel free to take yours down, if you like.

joe kudla
hello, kp.
thanks for letting me know that you had already done a memorial for joe kudla. i only did one because i came up empty when i searched for his. i even said to my wife at the time that "all of joe's fans should be ashamed, because not one of them has done a memorial for him on find-a-grave, so i'll do it myself." i still do not find the one you did for him when i do a search for kudla, died 2008. just comes up empty. weird. i only find it when i plug in the number you sent. i wonder why.

anyway, thanks for all you do on this site. it's a good site to have, and it seems you've done a lot of good work in putting a lot of info out there. that's good.

RE: Steven Kahout
Ann Kohout and Anton W. Horejsi are buried in St. Catherine's, south of Redwood Falls.

Where did you go to school?

RE: Steven Kahout
I think you might be confused about a Lillian Kohout who married a Horejsi. You're probably thinking of one of these two people:

1. Ann Kohout married Anton W. Horejsi; or,

2. Lillian Kohout Molitor's daughter, Joan, married Richard Horejsi (Anton's son).

I'm related to just about everyone who ever lived in or near Bechyn and I don't remember hearing about any other Horejsi/Kohout marriages.

The widow that you're referring to was Lorraine (Reese) Houdek who married Bernard Kohout after her husband Ed Houdek died (Ed was my first cousin).

As far as the name spelling, who knows? My Dad's family did the same thing (only they have three brothers with three different spellings) and I know I never liked being asked "Why" so I didn't ask the question when I was helping the Kohouts with their family tree.

I remember a while back you were interested in the Wertish family; how are you related to them?

RE: Steven Kahout
Thanx for the "QC." I'm happy to learn that someone is actually looking at all the work I did for the Kohout/Kahout family. Steven was actually one of the last Kahout family members that I posted. And, I usually do most of my work in the "wee" hours of the morning; so, I'm glad that you didn't find more errors.

I deleted 141065875 and will eventually write to the owner of 75742813 to see about consolidating the two memorials. The "757...." memorial actually reads like he died from combat related issues, which we both know is not the case. I actually rode the school bus with some of his siblings and also went to the same church.

How are you related to the Kohouts/Kahouts? I just completed a family tree for them and have lots of bios, etc. if you're interested, I'll share the info with you. I did the research work/memorials to help a distant cousin of mine who was needing some help.

RE: John Lee memorial
Thank you for the info! John was a friend and neighbor of ours at Hobo Park. I will change his memorial to "cremated" and link him to his parents.
Thanks for the heads up on this!

RE: Leo Kuester
I listed Danube because that was the mailing address listed on church site but that could be cause it was a P.O. Box. Theirs times I wish they just let you list the township instead of a city lol. I am related to Erna Kuester but never met her that I know off. She's a 1st Cousin 2x removed.

Leo Kuester
I found the location for St Matthews Lutheran Cemetery in Flora Township and created the cemetery. Am tried to get Leo and Erna transferred their. This is the location I came up with does it look right to you Burial is listed in wrong cemetery, should be in the St Matthews Lutheran Cemetery in Flora Township which is beside the church.
