Death comes once, but a cemetery is forever
Phillip M. O'Shea

The quality, not the longevity, of one's life is what is important. --Dr. Martin Luther King Jr

Please feel free to contact me about any graves I have listed. If I have listed someone that you are related to and I am not and you would like them transferred to you, please just let me know. If we are both related then I will have to think about it. Please feel free to use any of my photo's anywhere you want.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
(rev 21:4)

"Dear Ancestor
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and the date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who cares
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you."

A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we're together again.

Clarence Allen
Hi Barbara,

I am also related to Clarence Allen.....Along with the Markley's.
I guess I need to check my genealogy records....
I would be glad to make the updates for you tho.

Give me a few days to check my genealogy and see just where he fits in, then I will decide about the transfer....I want to keep "The Family" as mine.

I did make a note of who they were married to first and second.

Do you KNOW the name of Joseph Markley's parents??

Sorry it took me a few days to get the changes made that you requested....

RE: Elmer L. Markley
You are very welcome.

Those were the only two shots I took this morning, although I have photographed several of the niches previously. There are 4 glass cases in one room in the cemetery office building, and several more in another. Two of the other cemeteries in Albuquerque have mausoleums that combine traditional marble faced niches with similar glass cases.

Regards, Sidney

To Natasha from Little Girl
Dear Natasha: My Mom received a message from your Mom, saying that you went to Rainbow Bridge. We know that Rainbow Bridge is chock-full of fine vittles to chomp and happy dogs, cats, hamsters (who finally do get along with cats!), lizards, snakes, and so many other forms of critters slithering around, racing around, chasing butterflies, with some just laying in the shade of oak trees, enjoying the festivities. You are there now, making new friends. One day, you and your Mom will laugh and sing together again, and, until then, well -- she knows you are having a grand time! I'm a yellow Labrador, and only four-years-old, but I can see things in cemeteries humans cannot see. I play with all of the children who are on the swings and see-saws there, and they have me running back and forth and chasing balls my Mom can't see! She gets to laughing with me, because even though she can't see who is making me have so much fun, she knows happy spirits abound! Rest in peace, sweet Natasha......your Mom will miss you until your eyes meet again. Your friend, Little Girl
