We would be glad to help you with adding information, but |
YOU NEED TO USE THE EDIT TAB.
Due to the number of emails that we receive, we reserve the right to not respond to those who do not USE THE EDIT TAB per FAG guidelines. We do not add information from "Visitors" to FAG.
Per FAG policy, we have 30 days to make a correction/addition. Apparently the edits are not always linked with an email, but sit in the FAG edit file awaiting discovery. We try very hard to take care of these requests promptly.
We are not responsible for the 'half-sibling' notes on links or repetitious links. That is a database or submitter problem. If you do not understand why, please contact FAG.
TRANSFERS & CORRECTIONS-----Please follow the Find A Grave Guidelines for transfers and corrections and specify the relationship. "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren." Please use a Virtual Cemetery to collect your non-direct ancestors or special populations.
If you feel that you are somehow 'entitled' to our copyrighted work and pictures, do not be surprised that you will be held accountable. Each and every photo on this website is the copyrighted material of the person who took the photo (some may have been passed down or have been granted permission to post/use a photo) and usually posted it. Permission is usually granted when requested. This is not about sharing. The photos and pics are in fact, shared on this site. It is about the common courtesy to those that spend time, effort and money all at their own personal expense to help preserve American history.
We have met many wonderful people through FAG. Unfortunately, there have been a number of individuals who have been rude, who have not understood that we are volunteers, who have been otherwise abusive or who have been frankly bizarre and/or threatening. To that end, we will follow the FAG guidelines. It is about the hunt, not the numbers. But dealing with some of the FAG members and interlopers, we have learned to follow the guidelines.
Our family names/linages include:
ADAMS, BEHEN, BELL, BENNETTS, BICKERTON, BLYTHE, BULLOCK, BUTLER, CALLISON, CHAMNESS [CHAMLESS], COLEMAN, COCKRELL, CORDER, COONTZ, CROSS, DAVIS, DAY, DOUGHERTY, DUDLEY, DUNLIN, DUNN, FEASTER, FEHAN, GENTRY, GROSE, HENINGER, HUNGERFORD, JOHNSON, LAWRIE, LEMMONS, LORD, MARSHALL, MAXEY [MAXCY], MCCOWN, MONTGOMERY, MURRAY, NEEHAN, OVERTON, PRESLEY, RUTHVEN, SMOOT, SPLAWN, STANSBURY, [TATHAM, TATEM, TATUM], TAYLOR, TERRELL, THURMAN, TIPTON, WARD, WATERS, WEBSTER, WEINWRIGHT, VOTAW, WINSTON, WOOD, YOUNG AND ETC. We have been working on family genealogy for about 35 years. We have a great number of documents that were passed down the family lines.

Cathy & Thomas, Thank you so much. I will go back and get that photo. this is greatly appreciated and again, I am sorry I didn't ask before. Just got caught up in the frenzy of finding it.
Have a lovely weekend. Stay warm. ;)

What memorial # are you talking about? I'm sure I won't mind.
|Steven Reed Collins||George Reed|
You added a headstone pic to George W Reed, # 70009111, my 2d GGF. The headstone is a Civil War Colored Infantry headstone. As noted correctly on the memorial, my George Reed was born in 1854 and was highly unlikely to have been in the Civil War, much less a member of the 64th Colored Infantry. This headstone does not belong to memorial #70009111. thanks.

|Wendy Wilkins Valdez||RE: Imogene Fraley Siebert|
Oscar Fraley's first wife was Mary Eastlack who died in 1943. She is my 2nd cousin 1x removed.
|Wendy Wilkins Valdez||Imogene B. Fraley Siebert|
She is NOT the daughter of Oscar Fraley. She is the remarried widow of Oscar's son Oscar Fraley (1914-1994), the writer who wrote The Untouchables. Look for Oscar's obituary in the Toledo Blade on January 9, 1994 where it gives her maiden name and her father's name. The younger Oscar was born in Philly, raised in Woodbury, NJ, and died in Fort Lauderdale.

I am beyond the 4 generation from Sarah, Peter Cockrell, her son is my great great grandfather. His daughter Joetta married William E. Hocker, she had two sons, Clarence B. Hocker *grandfather* and Carl E. Hocker, then died within days of Carls birth. If you feel I am too far behind to have acopy of this photo then I will abide by that. Please let me know and thank you. Have a great week. Patty Hocker Ryker
