Scott Miller Young

Is there any way that I can maintain Scott's memorial page # 153559265 that you created. You will see that I did a page for the rest of the family as I am a great-niece of Scott's mother, Gwen and I created his parents pages. I would like to add the rest of his children. I appreciate that you created the page but would like the family to be able to maintain the page. I would have created the page but was busy with my father-in-laws death and just didn't get the page created. Again thanks and hopefully you will let us maintain the page.

Alvina Husmann Rink
Thank you for leaving a picture of my grandmother's sister Alvina. I Would like to learn where I could get more pictures of the Husmann ancestors. Is there an old photo of Alvina with parents and siblings?

RE: James W. Morgan
He could have been raised by Morgans, I am not sure; however, in his father's obit in 1962 he is still listed as Richard Callihan. He lived with his father in 1940 after that I am not sure as his father remarried. I do know his stepmother talked about him quite often and called him by the name of Dickie short for Richard. She never mentioned he changed his name, so when I found his obit I was confused.

RE: James W. Morgan
Hello Evelyn. They would be related to the Morgan side; My Wilcox married a Roland Callihan. I believe James Morgan is Roland Callihans son, but his name has changed. I was just wanting to verify this and ask if not to personal of a question why his name was changed.

Thank you for your reply and if you have any more information or know someone I could ask I would appreciate any help.

RE: Mem: 64921409
Well, that is the problem...His mothers name was Adrian not Edgeroin!!!

The Adrian Sisters (Betty and Sarah) both married Hessers. Their father was Jacob Sedgewick Adrian and the mother was Keturah Cole. Besides this Jacob E. Hesser, I have 3 other Jacob Edgeroins in my family, but I can't find where the name came from. I was hoping you might have something to help solve the mystery.

The Early marriages of Jefferson County, Ohio. show the marriage names and dates for
Andrew Hesser and Betsy Adrian (This Jacob's parent)
and John Hesser and Sara Adrian. (Grandparents of another Jacob Edgeroin Hesser)*
* My Great Uncle.

Can you please tell me what evidence you have that the middle name "Edgeroin" is correct?

RE: Maria Grassfield
Hi Evelyn,
I am not related to Maria Grassfield. I have been researching my ex husbands family for over 25 years. They are not related to her either. Why I posted this photo.....
My father in law (died 1979) had a bunch of old family photos from his father Albert Lafayette Ward, that we found when my mother in law passed in 1993. I was so excited to get these as the Ward family researchers had hit a brick wall. These opened up a great amount of stuff. Anyway there was a photo of Maria Grassfield included in the bunch. Of course at the time of finding these we didn't have computers and websites like we do now. So when I started researching again several years ago I started looking for this Maria Grassfield to see if she had been a first wife of Alberts. Albert did not marry my husbands grandmother until 1902 and he was in his 40's by then. I found Maria's family and saw that she had passed in 1895 (off the top of my head in this note). I have come to the conclusion that Maria Grassfield may have been a girlfriend or fiance of Albert's and then she passed. I have no proof of this and have not been able to find anything of them together except he had this photo. I also have a photo of a Ben Thompson and a Jennie Thompson in Iowa that was in this same group of photos. Albert was the 2nd to the youngest of 13 children and the youngest were sent to live with different families in the 1860"s after the mother died giving birth to her 14th child. This may be the Thompson family. I have found NOTHING on them in Iowa ever. Have you heard of them? Do you maybe have anything about a relationship between Maria and Albert? You are the first person to contact me about the Grassfield family. It seems they are researched extensively.
Thank you for your note!!
