Taphophilia: a passion for and enjoyment of cemeteries.|
I have photo-documented Sts. Peter & Paul and New Mount Sinai Cemeteries in St. Louis. If you are aware of errors in any of my entries, please let me know. PLEASE USE THE "EDIT" LINKS AND PROVIDE YOUR MEMBER NUMBER (located next to your name on your member page) if requesting a transfer.
PLEASE NOTE: Because I receive a lot of email, I typically do not reply when sent an edit - just check back in a couple days and you should see it. I usually make edits within a couple days. If it has been over a week, please resend as I may not have received it.
HOWEVER, if you send me an edit that includes a question, please make sure your email address is available on your page, so I can respond.
Please don't add death certificates that are readily available on-line to memorials.
In addition to adding my family, I enter other graves. I am always happy to transfer a grave to a family member, or to update the grave as requested.
Families I am researching for my family include Mueth, Heidenfelder, Bockius, Buehler, Danneman, Frank/Franck, Freymyer, Meurer and Zieger--primarily found in the U.S. in St. Louis and Southern Illinois.
My husband's last name is Torrence. For him I am researching Torrence, Findley, Watt, Comstock, Peterson, Norton, Brown, Bieth, Sentman, Ritchie and Sixbury--from all over the Northeast.
Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to Ancestry.com or any other website or personal webpages.
Lately I have received messages asking for additional information on a memorial I have added. I am happy to help, but if you do not provide an email address or have your messages turned off, there is no way for me to respond.

Thank you for your efforts to find a grave for Mr. G'sell!

Since you appear to be the "expert" on St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery perhaps you can help out with this....
My grandparents graves (Gerhardt, Gesina, and George Henry Toebben) all have spots for photos but they have fallen out since the 19teens. Do you think that perhaps (although I'm sure the chances are slim to none) that either the monument company or the office at the Cemetery would have them since they fell out, or perhaps a copy of them in their burial files since a photo was obviously provided to create the one for the stone.... doubtful but worth a try!

Thank you for your attempt to get a photo of Carl Schoessel's grave. I appreciate your effort and your feedback.

On the joiner History Room they have other obituaries for the Ellwood family. I would encourage you to look on that website. I have lived in Dekalb county and gone to the Ellwood house - how exciting to be related to such great local history. If you live in the area you can also go to the Joiner History Room. Here is the website.

Hi Katie - I am not related. I just take photos and post them if they are needed. Karen

Thank you Katie.
|ArnoldsClan||Adolph Arnold 1869-1917|
I see that you are maintaining the memorials for Adolph & Leona Arnold. I was wondering if by chance they are in your family line somewhere? I am trying to find any information possible on Adolph "Edward" Arnold 1869-1917 as he is my husbands great grandfather and I am at a wall. Any other link to a family member would be great.
Thank you for all your work in the St Louis area. It is wonderful!
