Bio Photo Taphophilia: a passion for and enjoyment of cemeteries.

I have photo-documented Sts. Peter & Paul and New Mount Sinai Cemeteries in St. Louis. If you are aware of errors in any of my entries, please let me know. PLEASE USE THE "EDIT" LINKS AND PROVIDE YOUR MEMBER NUMBER (located next to your name on your member page) if requesting a transfer.

PLEASE NOTE: Because I receive a lot of email, I typically do not reply when sent an edit - just check back in a couple days and you should see it. I usually make edits within a couple days. If it has been over a week, please resend as I may not have received it.

HOWEVER, if you send me an edit that includes a question, please make sure your email address is available on your page, so I can respond.

Please don't add death certificates that are readily available on-line to memorials.

In addition to adding my family, I enter other graves. I am always happy to transfer a grave to a family member, or to update the grave as requested.

Families I am researching for my family include Mueth, Heidenfelder, Bockius, Buehler, Danneman, Frank/Franck, Freymyer, Meurer and Zieger--primarily found in the U.S. in St. Louis and Southern Illinois.

My husband's last name is Torrence. For him I am researching Torrence, Findley, Watt, Comstock, Peterson, Norton, Brown, Bieth, Sentman, Ritchie and Sixbury--from all over the Northeast.

Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to or any other website or personal webpages.

Lately I have received messages asking for additional information on a memorial I have added. I am happy to help, but if you do not provide an email address or have your messages turned off, there is no way for me to respond.

RE: Alberta Potter
Katie, that is wonderful to know. It's comforting to know that Aunt Bert is at St. Peter & Paul, even if she couldn't be in St. Peter in St. Charles near family. Thank you so much for your answer. I learned something new!

Joseph Tobie Shoults #108083489
Thank you for creating this memorial, as I know it represents a lot of time and dedication.

Would you consider transferring the memorial for Joseph Tobie Shoults to me? He was the grand uncle of my husband's grandmother, Julia Bonneville Thompson. My father-in-law's baby sister was interred in the grave with him, likely because her parents did not have the means to bury her upon her untimely death.

Thank you.

RE: Julius & Joseph Michalke
You were correct about these two infants. There were no headstones.

RE: Julius & Joseph Michalke
Thanks. I'm familiar with this section and didn't have much hope of finding a stone. I copied down other people in the two rows that these children are in. I hoped to at least determine that I was in the correct location. After that I'll let the requester know there is no stone.

We swapped emails quite awhile ago and you said you had just finished photographing the entire cemetery. My compliments on the excellent photography. Too often people do that by zinging from one stone to the next and not even bending over to get a close-up.

Hi Katie,
Thank you for all the work you do.
May I ask for a transfer of management for Thomas Torrance. He is a direct ancestor of mine.

RE: Barbara Atkinson Frese
Thank you for the email. Yes, I had originally had her buried somewhere else as the family had given me the wrong location. I'm not sure how two memorials were created, but I deleted the second one (both were mine). Thanks again for bringing my sister's memorials to my attention.
