I am a single (42 years old) mother of a 20 year old daughter. She is Princessrugrat on here.|
I have a deep love for cemeteries. I love the art, the history, and the untold stories about each resident. I find it peaceful and thoroughly relaxing to walk through cemeteries. I'm working on several but the main one at the moment is Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway, Faulkner County, Arkansas.
I was born and raised here in Arkansas as were both of my parents and all of my grandparents.I started searching my genealogy in the Sixth Grade as a project and haven't stopped since.

|Virginia Wilson Bailey||Pates|
I do have relatives near Huttig, Union Co., Arkansas.
Some are buried in Harper Springs Cemetery, Huttig, Union Co., Arkansas. Jeannie Blanche Tugwell Pate 1916-2010 & Kenton Logan Pate 1915-1975. Also, Lela Peace Tugwell 1881-1972 is related to me on the Peace side.
I am sure that there are others but, I haven't traced them to Arkansas yet. But, Jeannie has a son still living in Huttig and a daughter in Magnolia, Columbia Co., Arkansas.
Our Pates came from the Carolina's to Mississippi on to Nacogdoches & Shelby County, Texas and then to Louisiana. Orginally from Scotland.

Thank you very much for your kind words, and you are very welcome. Glad you found information on his parents. That is great.
|Virginia Wilson Bailey||Allen Jack Smith|
You are so welcome! Just happy to find his grave and know that it was in great condition after all that time. We have been cleaning some stones as we can.
It took me a while to find it due to the fact that our plot marker received damage during a rain & wind storm. I am so thankful for my 1982 survey list.
Let me know if you should need anything else. After we finish the photos, we will not be back in our cemetery as often.
|D Walker||Melvina Layton|
Seems like Melvina and her mother somehow got mixed up as per the date they passed. Hope this clears things up.

There is no gravestone, yet. I will try to keep checking back from time to time and add one as soon as they put one up.
|Virginia Wilson Bailey||Bistineau Cemetery, Webster Parish, Louisiana|
I have Allen J. Smith Aug. 26, 1870-Nov. 26, 1901
The Memorial shows dod as 1909 but tombstone shows 1901.
I also, have Allen Jack Smith June 13, 1933-Oct. 8, 1934.
Is the one you want Allen Jack Smith the last one. He is listed in the 1982 survey and the 1997 list that I have. So, hopefully his grave is still marked.
Maybe next week, I can get back to the cemetery again.
There are several Smith's buried around him. They are probably his family.
|Jan Warren||Eliza A. Fuller, Riverview Cem., Warren ME|
I have a photo of the back of her stone. I will post it....
|Jan Warren||Matthew Robinson|
Miracles of all miracles! I was looking through the Riverview cemetery for another stone and I happened to notice four stones behind a metal fence that is also overgrown. I don't know why I stopped for another look because I only had a few more minutes of daylight left. There was your missing Matthew Robinson! The other three stones were for Thurston, Sarah and I think Mary Robinson. They are really hard to read and the light was bad. Do you want me to post the photos that I got or wait until I can get back and get a better one? I'm not sure if the dates are readable even with a better photo but I might be able to figure it out on another trip.
|Virginia Wilson Bailey||Allen Smith|
Please add Allen Smith in Bistineau Cemetery, Heflin, Louisiana back on your photo wants. There are two Allen Smiths and I added the wrong one. I removed it and will try to get back to make a photo of the right one.

The Talley grave is unmarked. It is in the center of the photo, about 6 feet to the left of the Honner stone.
