I am currently researching the Ellis and Reeder lines in my family. I am particularly interested in finding my Great-Great-Grandfather, David C. Reeder (b 1849). At present, I cannot find his date of death, where he died or his burial place. If you know anything about him, please leave me a message. |
I regret that I have had to remove my email address from my profile, as it seems to attract memorial corrections from people who either are not members of Find A Grave, are looking for free genealogical help, or people who just want to argue for some reason.
Also - please do not use the Find A Grave "Suggest a Correction" as a way of reaching my e-mail, unless of course, you are suggesting a correction. I'm sorry to be so mean, but I am not a professional genealogist and it's really disrespectful to send me a correction as a way of asking a question.
Please leave a message in here for me and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. I try to check in at least once a week
If I have added a memorial for your loved one, and you would like it transferred to you, kindly leave the memorial number of your loved one plus their name as it appears on Find A Grave; as well as your member number and your relationship to the person you would like transferred.

I didn't have a firm date. 1900 said June 1845 but most census said 1848-1849. The information on those census records could be from any source.
I have figured out that some of the people earlier on actually didn't know for sure when/where they were born.
Do you think he died in Jay Co, IN? I never found him after the 1900.
|Linda Roberts||RE: John B. Reeder|
I am not descended from any of the brothers. I have a genealogy friend that is a descendent of Jesse Reeder/Catherine Brady line. I have been helping him research for years.
I am the lead Reeder researcher for a group at yahoogroups.com. We have been together since 1998 and have over 200 members. You are welcome to join us if you wish. No pressure on my part, I correspond either way.
I did not find the will I was looking for. I found:
1806 Will of Joseph Reeder (5-6) 28-29 of 1097
1828 Will of Daniel H. Reeder (page 34-35)
1831 Will of Jacob Reeder (143-146) 369-371 of 1097
(there is a piece missing from the microfilm run-the balance of the will up to the signatures and witnesses... (note it says over and over is not shown, as far as I can tell) I found it in another source on-line.
"over" that was omitted from microfilm
after my decrease say eighteen months or two years.
Recorded June 6, 1831.
Executors; Amos Kenworthy; John Helman.
Witnesses; Daniel Watkins; James Proud.
1844 Will of William Reeder, Sr. (318-320) 970-971 of 1097
Part of them are of your line or a related group.
I have all of them in .jpg form if you are interested. Just send me an e-mail to below. I will attach and return

You could be right but it just didn't seem logical.
John B. Reeder buried in Allen Co, OH - There are several siblings that went from PA to Allen Co and are also buried there.
Regrettably, I don't show a John B. in my gedcom for William Job and Jemima.
Based on my files, I find Wm Job born in Hunterdon Co, NJ and dying before 1840 in Montgomery Co, OH

Saw that you created the page for Philo Reeder and Juanita Reeder at Toledo Memorial Park in Toledo, Ohio. Juanita's son Reeder Miller is my father, still going strong at 86. Philo's cigar ashtray sits on my desk to this day (as a candy dish). Not sure how you are related to Philo but thought I'd share the connection and say thanks for creating the grave pages. Best, Bruce Miller email@example.com

Yes, feel free to use it. If I ever get back in there (always locked), I'll take new batteries and get better pictures.

|Stan Fifield||RE: Roswell Woodworth|
Good to hear from you. Roswell's daug Harmony married Joshua Hulett, who was the son of Daniel. Harmony and Joshua had Joshua and he had Juna who had Addie who had Grace who had Rena (my mother).
I have Roswell's father as Benjamin. I did have some other beyond Benjamin but it was confusing and I have not pursued it yet. I started out knowing that Daniel fought in Rev War and now I have several that did (Roswell, James Paul, the Herricks).
My public tree is Fifield-Hulett

Go right ahead. Great TV show and he was great in that interesting role where he used his condiderable wits first, and weapons only as a last resort.
|Wendell Edwards||RE: Grave sponsorship|
You're welcome. One of these days I want to get B.F. a headstone. I had no idea he was in Hollywood forever. I will continue to sponsor others in our family as I am able to. I recently became involved in researching our family tree. Your work has been invaluable to me, thank you. I showed my wife, Angela, your Mom's photograph last night, her jaw dropped and she said "She looks JUST LIKE TANYA!" (My youngest daughter from a previous marriage). The similarity is astounding. Keep in touch, Wendell.
