Bio Photo Remember - there is a story under every tombstone. I am working to see that these people are not forgotten.

As one of my fellow gravers put it: "Eat, Sleep, Genealogy, Find A Grave".

Thank you for photos
I can't recall ever seeing that a cemetery was 100% photographed so it's a big deal to see that for Villa Redeemer Monastery Cemetery. Even small ones cemeteries never seem to reach that special rating.

Thanks a bunch,

Anytime you have time or the inclination, I would be so happy to hear any stories you feel like sharing about him. Stories bring these people to life, and I know very little about him, except what I have found on Ancestry.

RE: Bob Spurlock
Oh how wonderful! I rarely find people who actually KNEW the person in the memorial. This is so cool! I have letters that he wrote to my great grandmother! I know I met him a few times, but I was a small kid, and kids don't remember older relatives very well. But his letters to my grammy make me feel like I did know him. Thank you very much. I am happy he is remembered by such a good friend!

Missing Grave Plaque
Hi Jim,
In 2/6/2014 You took a picture and posted of Montgomery Goodman's grave in Waldheim Cemetery Gate 5, B'nai Ruven. The grave marker is the temporary metal frame with a paper information. The mother, Fern Ostrowsky paid for a plaque with his picture. Can you find out if the grave has the finished plaque? In realize that weather conditions may be adverse and I don't know your circumstances. His mother Fern lives clear out in Huntley and has health condition that keep her from going out there. Your most careful attention to this matter is appreciated. Thank you in advance. Cheri Reisman 714-998-2531

Memorials for Jakub and Katerina Silha
You took pictures for Vaclav Silha in Saint Adalbert's Cemetery, Niles, Illinois. I notice a couple of pictures would be applicable for these memorials, #'s 130333736 and 123962998. I would appreciate if you would upload or copy/paste for their memorials. You get credit for the pictures and saves someone the time of redo them. Thank you.

Thanks for the links--I can see why the book made such an impression on you when you were young. I am finding it fascinating--it's too bad every town didn't have someone as talented as her to compile such interesting histories. Or maybe most did, and we just don't have enough time to find them and read them.

The last number got left off for his mother--they should be right this time.

Viola was a second cousin of my great-grandfather, Joe Wright (his mother was Nancy Crouch). I doubt that he ever knew much about that part of the family, living as he did in central Ohio most of his life.
