Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm an avid photographer/archivest, having taken the majority of both my and my husband's family's graves. We take (outdoor) cemetery photos from March/April to November or December/snowfall within an hour or so in all directions of N'east Wisconsin, incl: Outagamie; Winnebago; Calumet; Manitowoc; Sheboygan to the East; and in the West: Waushara, and some of Portage, if we're in that area. Mausoleum photos, of course, can be taken all year.

NOTE to those requesting grave photos in Wisconsin: Although each year is different, we don't usually see any ground-level graves until at least April, given the weather in our area. Thanks for understanding!

Here's a poem that touches my heart. It is the reason we are in this service; for both the living and those who have gone on before us.

Today we walked where others walked On a lonely, windswept hill; Today we talked where other cried For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched By graves of tiny babies; Snatched from the arms of loving kin, In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay In the last sleep of their time; Lying under the trees and clouds - Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot; Who lies beneath this hollowed ground? Was it a babe, child, young or old? No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay. We had been here once before On a day we'd all like to forget, But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin The graves of ancestors past; To be preserved for generations hence, A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend, For stones sometimes crumble to dust And generations of folks yet to come Will be grateful for your trust.
When corresponding, please indicate the name of the person/people whose grave photo I took. Thanks! :)

RE: Lyle Kamps
Thanks for checking. I figured this was a long enough wait and the stone would be up. There will be a stone at some point.

Thanks for your efforts.

RE: Patricia M Petrie
I checked at the WI Vital Records office today. There's no mention in the birth or death indexes for a Patty M. Petrie for the date given on the stone.

I declined the edit for Erwin because it conflicts with the date on the headstone, if you have source document that says otherwise, let me know and send another edit and I'll change it.

Major Alfred Belanger
I saw your pictures of the graves of Alfred and Alvira Belanger. They were my G-G-G Grandparents. Alfred was born in Quebec Canada and served in the Civil War. He entered the service with the Private rank, and got promoted to Major during his service. Here is his military information:

Alfred Belanger

- Residing in Grand Rapids, WI at time of enlistment
- Enlisted on Dec 30 1863 as Private

Mustering information:
- Enlisted into G Company, 12th Infantry (Wisconsin) on Dec 30 1863
- Mustered out from 12th Infantry (Wisconsin) on Jul 16 1865

Sources for the above information:
- Roster of Wisconsin Volunteers: War of the Rebellion, (1886)

I wish I could find a photograph of him but I haven't had any luck yet. I even tried putting his company name and clicked on images but there were no pictures of him, just the main Captains and other officers. Thank you for taking a picture of their graves and posting them on here.
