Bio Photo Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

The other Edwin Gould's wife was Amelia. But the some of the children listed here are the other Edwin Gould's children.

RE: Edwin Gould
The pension record on 38604650 is correct. Mary A Burnham Gould was indeed my Edwin's wife. By the way, Burnham is a road in Empire.

The death record posted on 57068917 is not the same person as the memorial. Phillip was born in Vermont, as was both his parents. He didn't did in Calhoun County, he died in Muskegon County.

RE: Edwin Gould
Thanks for the tip and you are absolutely correct about government error. Yesterday, while at Maple Grove cemetery, I stumbled upon a grave marker for Frederick Haines, took a photograph and moved along. I looked up his memorial and found that I already had placed a photograph on his memorial and the tombstone was completely different. I then discovered that two orders had been placed for markers and two headstones were produced. The weird thing is that I don't recall two markers together with the same name at the cemetery but I'll check next time.

RE: Edwin Gould
Thanks for the note but 57068917 appears to be a problem that I am trying to work out. Some of the children listed do not belong to the Philip Edwin Gould (married to Mary) as stated. The photograph (I believe) does not belong to the Gould as stated (who was married to Amelia). The Gould in Empire (who was born and fought for Vermont) is the grandfather of my two aunts (who were also born in Empire) and did eventually live in Muskegon. There is something strangely wrong here and I haven't figured it out yet. The Edwin Gould in Empire, had a son Edwin also but he wasn't a Jr. Also a son Louis, who was my gg uncle. If I figure this out, I will let out know. I have a message to the sexton at Maple Grove too.

RE: Henry Mund
Hi Buck Julie - I am excited about getting my family all listed on this web site. Sure working with others sometimes is not easy but I will not let the grumpy ones get to me. I love researching and sharing what I find with everyone to see and read. I wish you a wonderful Memorial Day. Thanks Again.

Sorry for the confusion - I am new at this. I just noticed that you are the person who contributed the cemetery sign photo but not the one who created the posting. I figured it out now. I have sent a message to them. Please disregard my previous messages. Thank You for your Patience.

I am not sure if you created posting # 128393691. This is the son of Henry Mund. If this is your posting and wish to transfer it to me I will complete the entry as well as link it to the rest of the family.

Thank You

Yes my inquiry was about posting #101222835. It has your name listed as the creator. I saw some other ones as well. So I will send in a note to get them consolidated.

Thank you for the tips. Yes I am new at this.

Wishing you a wonderful Holiday Weekend.
