I started genealogy in 1992 with my mother as a young boy researching her side of the family first. Then in 1998, I picked it back up again on my own researching not just my mother's line, but also my father's. Between 1998 and 2010, I would look at the information on and off. Starting the early part of 2010, after watching the hit NBC show "Who Do You Think You Are," I picked it up again and haven't stopped. What a difference a decade makes in technology, thank goodness for the Internet!|
I came across FindAGrave while researching some ancestors and have fallen in love with it. It's a great way to honor your loved ones, and also help those who are not able to take a picture of the grave-site. This is also convenient as I visit several cemeteries each year.
Please feel free to drop me a message regarding the following surnames. I'm also looking for photo's of the people listed in my Virtual Cemeteries. Your help in advance is greatly appreciated!!

|Diane & John||Re: John Burch|
Hello, I see you posted a photo of the tombstone of John Burch # 44872651 in Burch Cemetery, Greene Co., IL. Since there are 17 names listed in that cemetery, I'm wondering if John Burch was the only stone you found there? We are in the area & would to visit that cemetery. Can you tell us how to get there? Also wonder if it's overgrown in the summer & maybe hard to get to??
Any help would be appreciated.

I noticed that you are managing the memorial on find a grave for Ezekiel Ross. I sent a request to edit the spelling of the name. He is in my direct family line. I am curious how you are connected to him.
I live near this cemetery and will be visiting it soon. Do you need any information from the cemetery?

Just curious as to why as the manager of the memorial, you could not remove what you wanted to. Then I noted Find A Grave is the manager. Are you a relative?
|Susan M. Panayi||RE: Cary|
Then we are cousins because I am a decendant of Kemp Cary & Rebecca Butler
|Karin Lange||Lewis Rodrock/Rothrock|
I have been trying to track down the parents of John Roderick, b 1791, which you list as Lewis Rodrock. I have seen his parents listed as both Lewis and Jacob Roderick. Can you tell me what proof you found that Lewis is the correct father?
Just wanted to drop by and say Hello, I descend from Martin Van Buren 'Black Mart' USSERY daughter Eliza Jane Ussery, who Married Willis Slavens. Always nice to find family.
