RE: Van Cleef Home
Wow, Allan,

This group would benefit greatly with your input with the books you have written on Van Cleave. I have started 2 Irish ancestry groups since May. There are a couple authors and some local historians in the group. Most sit back and let others share. They will only correct something if they see an error or will add in a helpful sentence. Maybe even go for a lookup for a member.

Would like to have something similar yet it would be different since most members will be from America where as with the Irish ancestry based groups they are majority from Ireland. A different culture in that group. All Interesting when it involves genealogy and learning about different cultures.

RE: Van Cleef Home
Hi Allan,

I have invited you to the new private FB group called Early Kentucky History. Available for ones that want to share their photos, history. If you have any others that want to be in the group, feel free to add them.

I had to think of a quick name so came up with the above. It can be changed if anyone has another creative idea.

Hi Allan,

I am not sure how to get your email from the link below that you sent. It takes me to a home page to register. What I want to do is invite you to a new private family ancestry group and need an email address or can facebook friend you and add you to the group that way if you are already a Facebook member.

RE: Van Cleef Home
Hi Allan,

How interesting to know how we are related. I am starting a private ancestry group like I have with another side of my Irish family to share interesting family information. If interested let me know since I can add you to our group either by being Facebook friend or via email.

Van Cleef Home
Hi Allan,

This is a beautiful photo of the Van Cleef home. Jan Van Cleef is a forefather of mine.

Transfer
Hi Allan,

I saw that Van Swearingen's memorial was finally merged, so I have now transferred it to you. As soon as Susannah's is merged, I will transfer that one as well.

Thanks,
Deb Redmon

RE: Lt. John Van Swearingen
As I said, I first had him listed simply as Van and only changed it once the other contributor send me an edit. I will change it back to simply Van. I am aware of the brother named John. However, I also know some families do, although rarely, name children the same names, but give them different middle names.

I have spent some time researching and again, could only find records for him as Van.

You still need to delete your memorial for him and Susanna though as they are duplicates of my prior existing memorials.

Thanks,
Deb

Duplicates
Please remove your duplicate memorials for Susanna Swearingen 102409430 and Van Swearingen 102409333 that you created in Grove Hill Cemetery. Or, please have them merged by Find-A-Grave.

Thanks

Re: Eli Hunt memorial
Hi Allan, I appreciate the information you provided for both Eli Hunt and Margaret Green, the updates have been added to their memorial pages. It was tricky locating Welland County as so many changes have been made in Ontario with boundary adjustments and such so was thankful to find that Pelham is noted in the Niagara Regional Principality listing here on Find.a.Grave. Are you perhaps a descendant of this family also? I have been working on Eli's daughter-in-law Lizzie's family for many years and there are still so many holes in the picture that have yet to be filled. Warmly, Helen Murphy
