So glad to have been of assistance. Out of curiosity, do you have any info on why the two different names show up in family records? Best - JD
|Larry Draughon||James Freeland|
Thanks so much, Kaye, for transferring James Freeland's Memorial to me. Much appreciated. Larry Draughon
I checked the whole cemetery, confirmed with the funeral home he is buried in Ferriera Cemetety, but he has no headstone, they said to call Dunn Creek baptist church, since they run the Cemetety and they might be able to tell you the location of his grave, there is a a lot of pine needles about 2 feet thick in the back and if his marker still exist it would be under all of that.... What do you need. I will help but, there is a photo on the memorial.

You're very welcome for the photo. Glad I could help, but I can't take credit for the article. :) That was someone else.
|Curt||Elmer & Mary Armintrout|
I have located the gravesites for them but there are a couple of things you should know about.
1) Mary has no marker probably due to plant growth judging by the layout of the family plot.
2) Elmer is listed in the internment records and on the the gravestone as " Elmor".
I looked at their memorial pages to help verify I have the correct family and everything matches except for his name so I am posting their claims as being filled. I will submit photos but due to a lengthy inscription on Elmors marker I took far too many pics to post on here. I was hoping to try and interpret it but it is pretty faint. I will e-mail all of the pics to you with the subject as "Elmor Armintrout pics". Hopefully you can decipher the inscription.

|Hobie Burgess||Robert Culpepper|
I posted a picture of Robert Culpepper in Elsinore Cemetery for you. It is spotted by the shade of tree leaves. If you aren't happy with this picture, let me know and I'll replace it with another from early in the morning. I can take it tomorrow (Sunday the 11th) if you like and see this message in time. Otherwise I can retake it next Saturday.

He may have been removed postwar.,since Amherst Co. is next to Lynchburg. Not sure of my source at this date but it was probably a list that I had one time of wartime burials from the funeral home there. I think their name was Oakley or Oakly. They may still be in business. A second guess is a regimental history in the VIRGINIA REGIMENTAL HISTORIES SERIES.
