 | RE: Farquhar You sre very welcome. You are right it does change. Down at the lower left corner shows the date of the imaging. I believe there is a way to bring up past imaging. Yesterday, there were no leaves on the trees, so depending when the next fly by is, you may see the rock again.

 | RE: Farquhar I gave upon using Google Earth to get the lat/lon. When I zoomed in as close as I could the screen was a dark blur. I did the easy way and stood over Stanley's marker and took the reading from my phone.
It was: 37.90581 N -122.28743 W
You did very good with Ernest's. My reading for his grave were: 37.90480 -122.28902.

 | RE: Farquhar You are very welcome. For reference, Samuel's and Hazel's are to the right of the small pond with waterfall.

 | RE: Walne - Farquhar Photos are now posted. The cemetery confirms that Florence is with her father, but not on the marker. 33 is a lot # and not a row.
Samuel is with his third wife, Hazel. Nothing gets the blood running like climbing a wet hillside with camera and tools. The picture just doesn't do justice to the steepness.
Florence and Samuel were married in Berkeley on December 10, 1944. Alameda County's record is Book 271-Page 69 in case you wanted to order copy of certificate for $16.00.

 | RE: Walne - Farquhar No problem. I'll verify everthing on Saturday.
In case you didn't know, Florence was Samuel's second wife. His first wife was Helen M. Leete. They were married in SF on July 2, 1922. Florence and Samuel married in December, 1944. I'll do some more checking to get the exact date.

 | RE: Walne I'll check around and ask Ivy at the office what they do with things like that. If the grounds keepers thought that it was just "junk", they probably threw it away. I'm going to have to re-check the location of his grave. Palm 3 section isn't big enough for 33 rows. It will be on Saturday as I work and can't get there before the cemetery closes. If you use google earth, you can see Palm section three. It is right behind the office, on top of a small hill with a road around it.

 | RE: Wallers Interesting and sad article about the grandson. You might want to ask Chris Mills about different ways to query the Forest Lawn Glendale database. He really is a genius.

 | RE: Wallers I called the cemetery office to inquire about Mona Taylor. The Col of Nativity is very close to Col of Inspiration. There are three people in Mona's niche: Her husband Edward L and Eliot Edward Newlin (# 85477637) Mona's arrangement were made by her daughter. Unfortunately there is no record of who made Eliot's arrangements. I asked if there was a Florence Newlin in their system....no luck. Kathy | |

 | RE: Elliot Craig I called the cemetery office and asked who made the arrangements for James Waller in 1943 but it was not noted. The office did look at the two other Florence Craigs buried in Glendale but neither fit. One had the middle name Louise and died before the Judge and the other had a maiden name of Carpenter. It could be Florence remarried and moved out of state. The Judge is interred in the Columbarium of Inspiration in the Great Mausoleum. Basically there is no view - it is wall to wall, ceiling to floor niches. There are a couple of "area" photos for the Columbarium of the Dawn which is in the same area as Columbarium of Inspiration. Look at Ruth Kelly memorial# 55479723. The interior is cathedral-like - all marble with long arched windows. I hope this is helpful. Do you want me to transfer Hallie Epperson Waller to you?
