Please, unless you are the legal copyright holder, do not post or ask me to post printed obituaries or copyrighted photos (taken from obituaries or other sites) on memorials I've created. If the obit was taken from a printed source (such as a newspaper) or was copied from a website the legal copyright belongs to those sources. You cannot just retype them using their original wording. |
In regard to photos, being the legal owner of copyright means that (1) you yourself took the photo;(2) you were given explicit permission in writing from the person who took the photo; or (3) you bought rights to the photo and have the paperwork proving your claim.
FindAGrave policy (see their FAQ) prohibits such postings as violations of International Copyright Law.

I uploaded a photo that I took of the gravestone for Eva Prpich to the memorial page for Eva Prpich that you manage. I took the photo in Section E of Saint Joseph Cemetery in Council Bluffs.
I can't be 100% certain that the gravestone is in fact for the person of your memorial page, because the page only has a birth date listed and that is actually 2 years prior to the birthday on the gravestone. However, since slight discrepancies in birth dates are not uncommon in genealogy, and since the name is uncommon, I decided to go ahead and upload the photo to your page instead of creating a new page.
I thought I would let you know that I uploaded the picture, in case this is a person that you are actively researching.

Hi K- From John D. Rossiter's memorial I can't link to his children, only parents & spouse. But since I had everything open, I noted the memorial numbers of John & Elizabeth and then asked the managers of Edward's memorial to link Edward to his parents. It may take another day or so. I love the Rossiter monument at St. Patrick's! -Jackie

You posted this man as being buried in the Calvary Cemetery in Portage, Indiana. He was killed in a Kamikaze attack on the USS Nashville CL-43 on December 13, 1944 during the Liberation of the Philippines. Do you have his location in the Cemetery? Checkout the website ussnashville.org for the history of the ship. My father was a Marine serving aboard the Nashville and I am working on the learning the burial location of the men killed that day or died of their wounds.
Thank you for posting the Seaman grave site. Here is some additional information if you want to put on the memorial and family links:
b/ 4 Nov 1894 d. Nov 1959
married Mary Greiner (b. 1894 d. 1925) on 23 Jul 1920
His parents were Michael John Seaman Sr. (memorial #26225644) and Mary M Bainos( other spelling - Banas)
May I have permission to include my family grave photos in my father's legacy book?

|Edson B. Waite, Jr.||Holy Trinity|
Just a quick note, I have finished adding names and photos to Holy Trinity Cemetery. I think I photographed about 99% of the markers. You can reconcile the data with the photos at your leisure. Thank you for your time and contributions to Find A Grave.

Made the connection with her father, Adam Racich. Confused with the Brennan name...previous marriage. Hope I made the correct connection. Thanks for the request...I like making the connections.
