Bio Photo ** My gravestone photos are for sharing! Please use them freely for your personal family research projects. However, if you re-publish them online, please include a photo credit "Photo by Find A Grave volunteer Debi C." Proper photo credit further encourages the volunteerism which makes this awesome resource possible. Thanks! **

I still consider myself a Rhode Islander - where I grew up, lived, worked, and played for some 50 odd years - but as of July 2012, now call Gray Maine "home".

My husband of 27+ years sometimes pokes fun at me for spending much of my free time in cemeteries, but I continue to be engrossed in the study of family history and find cemeteries simply fascinating!

My own genealogy work began when my Dad died just two months before seeing the new millennium and hasn't stopped since. I enjoy helping others realize their family history goals and often take photos or conduct limited research projects - just for fun! - on a volunteer basis.

Many of my own ancestors have been in southeastern New England for centuries. My more recently "imported" predecessors were from England and Ireland.

RE: [New Gloucester] Hill Cemetery
I will go through and delete the duplicates that were created by me. After that, if there are still duplicates, please contact the person who created the most recent memorial.

Thanks for the hard work and the heads-up.

Geo W Carson...
So mistake..In Catherine's Obit it stated that she was buried in Brant Township next to her husband...I thought it was odd that there was no entry for him or her on Find a grave...So I too am confused and will spend some more time looking at this tonight...Thanks...I live about 80 miles from this cemetery...sometime I will visit and see what I can find. Thanks again, Jan

Carson's in Brant Township Cemetery
Debi - I entered the parents of Effie Carson today if you want to connect them to their daughter Effie. They are Rev. George W Carson 149271461 and Catherine Ann Best Carson 149271533.

I am related to the Best Family not directly to the Carson's...

Thanks, Janet Smith

RE: John Sweetser & Jane Rideout
No, I'll leave this to you to figure out. . . I've linked son Alvah with an important monument & headstones so that is an important clue.

RE: John Sweetser & Jane Rideout
Hi Debi - I recently discovered headstones & monument & created profiles for the Sweetser family in Port Huron, Michigan. I linked son Alvah. There is a family tree on with documented info to check & research. Thanks for your interest in updating the birthdates. It is always exciting to discover another family member.
