Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy research on my primary family lines for over 20 years. Those families are; Carpenter, Peek, Hitchcock, and Giles.

I do this not for numbers or glory. I believed that whatever good one does will be returned in kind. If I can help others in pursuit of their family searches I know that this work will come back to help me with mine.

I also do this to honor my Grandma Jessie (Peek) Carpenter who along with her brother Homer Peek stirred my youthful curiosity to know where I came from.

Three of my lines date their origins in America from between 1625 to 1642. These ancient roots have left me with a huge research task which I am absolutely thrilled to follow. Happy hunting to all. If I can help, drop me an email.

Mardo
Dennis,

I have transferred both Mardos to you. I added the bio you had for Florence, although I tweaked a few words to make it read a bit smoother. While looking for Peter and Florence I found a few interesting things about them - in 1910 they were living together in Chicago - he was listed as single, she divorced, but both under "Mardo". In 1920 they were in Cleveland - he was a machinist. In 1930 they were in Poland, Ohio - he ran an inn. I found that particularly interesting as my aunt lives in Poland and I photograph several times a year at the local cemetery there. I also immediately recognized the name Guckeyson - I have the memorials for his parents at St. Bernards, and have linked them. Peter's brother Harry Guckeyson is buried next to him at Glendale. In 1942 Peter managed the Firestone Country Club in Akron. If I find any additional info I will send it to you to add. I look forward to seeing your bio for Peter.

Ralph E. Young gravestone
Thank-you for the lovely photo of the gravestone for Ralph E. Young. He was lost to us, and you have brought him home to the family. You are a true unsung hero, and your kindness will never be forgotten. Your Grandma Jessie and her brother Homer Peek would certainly be proud. Thank-you for advancing the knowledge to the next generation. Wishing you health and happiness. Gratitude.
