Hi, I'm a retired educator. I've been working on genealogy since 1961. It has become a passion. My family has been keeping records for more than a hundred and twenty-five years. I have records for many surnames.
Find A Grave has helped me locate burials of ancestors who were lost. I'm very appreciative of the people who have posted memorials for those cherished souls.

Info on Wayne Hanes ashes
Received today a note from Lily with the longitude/latitude of the location where Uncle Wayne's ashes were scattered. I have added that information to his memorial.

Here is a transcript of the note:
This is the location of Wayne Hanes' ashes.
89 degrees 44 minutes 8 seconds
30 degrees 11 minutes
Rigoleto old lighthouse point
Wayne's ashes dropped in 101 feet of water on 10-31-1989

Hope all is well with you and yours. Sorry I won't be able to be at the reunion this year.

Joseph Gilgis
Thanks for the obituary information on Joseph. Would you like for me to transfer his memorial to you? I made the changes you suggested. He is the father in law of my first cousin three times removed. Your relationship is much closer. Just let me know.

Looking further I found a "Public Tree" on Ancestry [ "SCOTT, SMITH, McFARLAND - ESSIG, WANNENWETSCH] that has the burial of John & Sarah in "Stone Lick Graveyard next the church of the same name. This graveyard is located not far from Maryville, KY.

The link to it is below.

Logan family cemeteries
Saw your message to Stella about the Logans and wanted to let you know that I have just updated the Logan Family Cemetery on this website with some directions thanks to help from Bob Carter.
Also added a second family cemetery using the name Logan Cemetery and included directions again thanks to Bob Carter.
You had mentioned James Melton Logan and his wife, Lydia Bovender Logan. Lydia was my 3rd great aunt -- her brohter John "Jackie" Bovender Jr being my direct ancestor. So I am far removed from the Logans and I don't know whether the two Logan families in these 2 cemeteries are even related to each other. But wanted to share this with you
in case you find it to be helpful. Thanks Jane Deal

I am trying to find hard sources for William Edwards b 1720.

The soft sources I have list him as being born in Stafford, Wales. Would you mind sharing your sources for the information you posted on find a grave?

Saint John's Cemetery in Bellevue, Nebraska
Hello Mary,

I noticed that you have photographed some of the gravestones for Memorials in Saint John's Cemetery in Bellevue, Nebraska. I was wondering if you were familiar with how the plots are numbered or if there is a existing website for that cemetery I might look at.

This actually isn't regarding anything you created. I had created a memorial based on information that someone on Ancestry.com had and another Find A Grave user had taken a photo and requested I add plot info. The format just seems off compared to what I am used to for plot info of the Catholic Cemeteries in the Omaha archdiocese.

Thank you for any information you might have about how this cemetery lists plots.

Carrie
