I believe that Rillie is actual spelled Rilla. She appears in the Iowa county census from 1880 thru 1940 as Rilla Rule / Rilla Bowden. She is from the Rule clan who have married into many of my Vivan and Mitchell families. The Rules are shirttail relations at best, so I usually don't wish to manage their memorials, including this one.

The late graver, Wally Smith (#47067988) has created whom I believe are the parents of Laura J (Jewell) Rule (#66599526). Since Laura was born in Linden, her parents are most likely William Jewell (#31355122) and Elizabeth Mary Venning Jewell (#31355218) long time Linden residents. Perhaps someone with access to census and church records could confirm. Jewells and Rules are shirttail relatives to my Iowa County Vivians and Mitchells. Jim Sindberg (#47899232)
|Alan Weamer||Schneider family|
Yes, I am related to all 10 of the Schneiders. Henry U. is the original immigrant from Bavaria, and his wife is Mary M. Stark (not Stank). They are my great great grandparents. I think Martha is Henry W.'s sister--my grandmother was named for her, but she is buried in Decorah, Iowa. Henry W. was a German Methodist minister, Maria Anna his wife, and Sammy, Ida, Clara, Dora, and the infant are Henry W. and Maria Anna's children. I'm not aware of any other relatives of mine there.

Hello Ginger, My great grandfather is Rev. H.W. Schneider, who with many other family members is buried in this cemetery. I have visited it 2 or 3 times and always find it to be extremely well tended and beautiful. I just wondered if I could contact someone to help with the expense involved. Thanks!!

Herman and his wife Mary are in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Montfort. I took the picture myself and know they are there. If you want to move your memorial to Hill Crest, I will delete mine.
My memorials are:
Herman Trankle # 148522365
Mary M. Leix Trankle # 148522454

Would you remove Bowden from her page?
This little girl is no relation to Elizabeth J. Bowden.
I'm creating a separate page for Elizabeth. She was the wife of Edwin Bawden/Bowden and he is buried in Mineral Point.
Thank you, Carol

Good day! I am seeking permission to use your photo of the Peter and Mary Geach headstone in Linden cemetery for my family tree.
Thank you for your consideration.
Might you know if there is an index of Linden Cemetery anywhere?
