Bio and Links
Bio Photo My ancestry interests on my Dad's family are Germans: Bonorden and Knipling; on my Mom's family are Edwards and Vinson. My husbands family are Jentsch's, Kneuppers, Scheefs and Ruetters (all German families).

One of my goals is to 'connect' all the 'residents' of the Gause and surrounding cemeteries to their families buried there and elsewhere. I appreciate all the help I get from other FAG members with the connections and corrections, thank you!

Currently working on cemeteries in Milam, Burleson and Robertson Counties.

** I believe that those that have gone on, deserve to be known. This isn't about 'me' but about 'them'. All pictures are given freely to anyone to use but photo credit would be polite and greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I live in Southeastern Milam County near Gause, TX. I am happy to help with any cemetery locations near me.

**If you send me an email via the edit other and you don't hear from me then please use . I answer! If I don't, it means I didn't get it! Thanks ***

You was here but now You've gone,
You've left your name to carry on,
Written in stone or just pages in time;
There is no real death until you are forgotten,
So let those that read this remember you often.
***Forget You Not******

I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.

How can I get a copy of that death certificate? We have not been able to locate it.

RE: Van Nickerson grave site
Thank you Holly for your reply. I sincerely do appreciate all your time and hard work you've done on this project.

I guess my question I have in my mind is: Since there is no marker for his grave, how did you know he is buried there?

Van Nickerson grave site
Good afternoon Holly, My wife is researching the Nickerson family as she is a descendant of D P Nickerson of Rosebud and Robertson county as well as Milam county. Van was a son of D P.Van died 27 Nov 1918 and according to your entry to Find a Grave, is buried in Gause City Cemetery. We were there this spring and searched for a long time without success in locating his grave. Where are cemetery records or do you have a listing showing his location in Gause cemetery? I understand it may not be marked, but if thats the case, we may want to have a marker placed. Thank you for your work in helping others in this cause.

Use of article
I am requesting your permission to use the newspaper article that appears on William Stone's , Find A Grave # 69007211 site.
This would be a lovely addition to my Ancestry site for William and Martha.
He was my 3x great grandmother's brother who she was very close to. She ( Elvira Stone Lackey) came to Texas to live with William and Martha after the Civil War for a short time.
Thank you for helping document to entries in the surrounding cemeteries. It is greatly appreciated by researchers like myself.

Holly, You added a newspaper obituary (lg. article) on Lewis Whitfield Carr's memorial. It was a newspaper article about his life and death. All of the upper part of the article is missing. I am wondering if, you would email the whole page to me or re-do the picture of the article on his memorial #22962184. My email is if, you would like to contact me. Thanks so much, Connie
