"This is Me"

This stone can be found in the Mentor City Cemetery, Mentor Ohio. It is part of a family plot towards the back of the cemetery. There is a main family stone and than this one. It's not the prettiest stone by far but the guy had a sense of humor. I smile everytime I see it.

Now to more Find A Grave stuff.

You know what truly amazes mamaquilts, is the number of people who send her an email stating that the memorial she has created is a duplicate. Then it turns out that the other memorial is a duplicate because it was created after the one that Mamaquilts made. Mamaquilts does report people who purposely create duplicates.

Please use the Edit buttons found on each memorial. They do make is much easier for updates to be done.

Please use the EDIT button for memorial transfers with a statement as to why you want to have the transfer made (family member, friend, military etc). If it falls outside of the Find A Grave rules, mamaquilts has the last say as to whether or not she'll transfer. She is very accommodating with transfers.

Please remember that most of the people here on Find A Grave are volunteers and do have lives out side of this site. Please wait the 30 days for corrections to be done.

UPDATE: Due to personal reasons at times edits might take up to 30 days to get completed. Please wait.

In March of 2014, Mamaquilt's Dad was killed in an accident. If you would like to visit her Dad's memorial you can find it here

memorial 57354720
Memorial # 57354720 is listed under America Hornbeck but I think it is actually that of Abraham Hornbeck, my 2nd great grand uncle, who was born April 18, 1830. The age on the marker looks to be 39 years 3 months and I can't tell how many days but I am pretty sure it is Abraham written on the tombstone. Can you update the name or is there a reason I am not seeing that warrants the first name of America?
Thanks for all you do,

Your Dad
Thank you for all you do to honor our loved ones on Find A Grave. Your Dad should be very proud of you (and I left a message for him on his memorial). Take care of you.

Eva Field (d. 1924)
Hello - I recently called the Highland Park Cemetery office (City of Cleveland) and they confirmed that the interment records that give a burial location at "Section 300" actually indicate burial at Potter's Field, not at Highland Park itself. Although the Ohio death certificate for Eva May Fields records her burial at Highland Park, that is not in and of itself correct because burial records for Potter's Field were kept by Highland Park. In fact, so far every death certificate I've found for an individual on the interment record whose burial was section 300 has his/her burial place recorded as Highland Park on the dc.

Potter's Field is a recognized burial location on Findagrave.
