I am currently working on my family tree and my husband's family tree. I apologize in advance to those that I send many SAC's. Sometimes it seems like I'm connected to everyone in a cemetery. I like to get as much information as I can on their memorials, but it is very important to me personally to add maiden names and links. Thank you to everyone who has added information and thank you to those who will in the future.|
If you're planning to go to Mount Hope and aren't sure where your family is buried, email me ahead of time and I can send you more information, along with maps of the cemetery. Mount Hope covers a large area and it can be difficult to find a specific burial without a map.
I've completed taking pictures of Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City, Mo, with the exception of stones added since June 2010, and they are all online. If there wasn't a stone, I took a picture of the space. The pictures that say "space unknown" means I have the block and lot number, but not the space number so I just took a picture of the lot or of an unmarked space in the lot.
I realize that some of my pictures are not all that great, so if you'd like me to try to get a better photo, let me know. If I've made any mistakes or you'd like more information added, just let me know.
Many of the headstone pictures that I've placed on my family's memorials were actually taken by my parents. I have my Mom's permission to use hers and since my Dad's passing, his pictures are now mine. I've created virtual cemeteries for family.
It is not my intention to create duplicate memorials and I try not to but sometimes it happens. Please let me know if I have created a duplicate and I'll remove mine. And I'd appreciate it if you don't create duplicates of ones already on. I am more than happy to transfer management of the memorials I have created unless they are my family. Just click on edit on the memorial and ask for a transfer and include your relationship.
I don't mind sharing the photos I've taken for personal use but I would like to request that others do not take credit for any photos I've taken.

|Hugh Long||Marguerite Long Graham|
Have been working on the LONG family genealogy for many years. Marguerite Long Graham's father, Sam was my dad's first cousin(half). Sam is buried in Butler County, Kansas. Sam was known as Fiddlin Sam Long and won many fiddle contests in Oklahoma and in the Joplin, Mo. area in the 1920's. Have pics of that.
My first g grandfather was John James Long who is buried at Fairview Cemetery, Joplin, Mo. He had 7 siblings, all of whom I have found graves except George Ransom Long born 1827 and have been searching for him a long time. Thought he may have been buried in the Joplin area, but no luck.
Don't know how much interest you have in the LONG genealogy, but I have a lot of info as far back as my 3rd great grandfather, James Long born 1738 died 1830. Always willing to share info. if interested.
|Lance Rogers||RE: Marguerite Lagle|
Okay, thank you.
|Lance Rogers||Marguerite Lagle|
Would you happen to know if Marguerite Lagle may have worked in the Mail & Record Section at Camp Phillips in Wisconsin way back in 1945?
There's actually two different Marguerite Lagle's that lived in the same time period as each other. I have some old photos that were found in an old shed down by Lake Ouachita in Arkansas and one of the names listed on the back of one of the old photos has a lady named Marguerite Lagle written on it. The other names of the ladies pictured with her are BT Koom, Iris Matthews, and Marylin Hunt.
I'm not sure if all of these photos that were found may have all belonged to Marguerite or if they may be photos that may have belonged to one of the other ladies in the photo, but if there's a chance that they may have belonged to this Marguerite Lagle, I thought that I would try and contact any of her remaining family to ask if they might like having the photo(s) if they used to belong to her. I would be happy to scan and email the photo that I have with her name listed on the back over to you so that you can view it if you think that this may be the correct Marguerite Lagle I'm referring to.
This Marguerite Lagle is listed as: Marguerite Lagle, 1901 - 1983 Marguerite Lagle was born on February 18 1901. Marguerite lived in Kansas City, Missouri 64112, USA. Marguerite passed away in June 1983, at age 82.
The other Marguerite Lagle that I also found is listed as: Marguerite Lagle, 1898 - 1995 Marguerite Lagle was born on June 8 1898. Marguerite lived in Tucson, Arizona 85712, USA. Marguerite passed away on March 19 1995, at age 96.
Thanks, Lance Rogers - You're also welcome to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like.
|N. Davis||Margaret Milslagle and Lewis Cass Ulry|
I'm admiring the photos of Margaret Milslagle and Lewis Cass Ulry. He moved to Nebraska at some point and was my great-grandmother's uncle. His home was where she married my great-grandfather.
1. Is it possible to obtain the full picture of them both?
2. Do you have information on L.C.? I have some dates and things, but I don't know why he moved to Nebraska; I'm always curious about that.
If you prefer, you can contact me at raptorrunner at yahoo

|Cathy & Thomas||Walstad|
Kelly, the picture of Wally's cenotaph was taken by you. Unless I miss my bet, you have photographed most of that cemetery.
The cenotaph is the large stone with the name Walstad on it. Please, please, please....
|Cathy & Thomas||Orlow Walstad, Mt Hope Cem|
Would you please add the cenotaph to his wife's memorial?

And thank you for memorializing him. Now I have to type out a transcription of that wonderful obituary.

|Al Scott||RE: Katherine McGauran|
Yes, I would like for you to transfer Katherine McGauran to me, but I would also like to be responsible for her father and mother, Patrick and Rose, and also her sister Mary. They are all four buried together. The other sister Margaret Pondrom is buried in Texarkana and the brother John was buried in Florida. Thanks.

Thanks to you I found out that she did not have a headstone, so we purchased one though Mt Hope Cemetery & had it installed. I just posted the picture today, so you can now remove the blank space picture.
