I added a memorial for Ralph E. Buckalew(Find A Grave Memorial# 159010856) and linked it to the memorial of Alice Kress Buckalew (#36683713) There was already a Ralph E. Buckallew linked to Alice's memorial however it is not the correct husband of Alice. I have included Ralph's obit in this message so you will see that the one I posted is the correct one. Pls make the necessary adjustment to Alice's memorial. I will transfer Ralph's memorial to you if you wish. Let me know.

BUCKALEW, Ralph E., 81, of 212 Berkley Drive, Woodsfield, Ohio, died Saturday, January 9, 2010, at the Woodsfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Woodsfield, Ohio.
He was born in Bucyrus, Ohio on October 21, 1928, a son of the late Straud O. and Grace L. McDermitt Buckalew.
Ralph retired from the Control Department at the Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio; was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran serving in WWII and was a member of the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice L. Kress Buckalew; one daughter, Grace Ann Joyce; one brother, Orlen O. Buckalew; one son-in-law, Raymond Baldwin.
Surviving are two daughters: Rebecca S. Baldwin of Woodsfield, Ohio and Janet L. (Jim) Egger of The Woodlands, Texas; two sons: Ralph E. Buckalew, II of Melbourne, Florida and Timothy A. (Peg) Buckalew of Woodsfield, Ohio; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2010.
Funeral liturgy with Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio, with Rev. Fr. David Gaydosik as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Sylvester Catholic Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
Vigil services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

He is @grandview cemetery in Belmont co ohio.born 1704 died 1811. Is he one of your family? Thanks for the picture of headstone and church. Do you have any more info on him. Thanks for sharing. Lillian

Belmont County- your directions read "about 2 blocks from State Rd #8 as one goes north", could that possibly be State Rd #800?

Thank you for the photo of the headstone. It was very informative albeit more baffling....I have him married to a Mattie Rice and a Emma Rice but the headstone is shared with Mary Emma --- I have so much more work to do!!! Have a great holiday season!
