I have been recording genealogy and family histories for approximately 40 years. This has always been an interest of mine--since childhood. I live on a piece of the old farm where I was born and my family has owned for generations. Several lines of my ancestors have been in this area of Southeast Georgia for over 200 years. I am a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy, both of which I am very proud.|
I have been a member of Find A Grave for much longer than stated above. I was unable to access my old account and had to start anew. I've always enjoyed visiting old cemeteries, as well as old houses.
My husband, Larry, and I have published two pictorial history books: "Treutlen County, Georgia" in 2008 and "Montgomery County, Georgia" in 2010. These books can be purchased online at Arcadia Publishing Co. We enjoyed visiting people in these counties who invited us into their homes and allowed us to scan their precious family photographs.
N O T E:
Anything I post, photos or memorial biographies, may be copied and used for personal use as long as you give me credit, just as I personally do if I can find the source.
I welcome corrections and additions to my posts and will respond to all messages. This site is a wonderful tool, but it is only effective if those who post memorials will strive to place them in the correct cemeteries and will continue to maintain them.

Thank you for showing that memorial. However, that is not the father of William Joseph Warnock. I added memorials for his parents realizing that I never added them despite them being in Spring Hill Cemetery..... The other Eli and Martha Clements Warnock must be related to me on the Clements buy I haven't made the connection yet....It goes on and on.....
|Steven King||William Joseph Warnock|
His mother was Mary Clements who lived 1846-1922. Mary was the sister of my great great grandfather, John Wesley Clements. I have additional information on this family if you're interested. I'm curious about the first marriage you have for her.
|Steven King||RE: William Joseph Warnock|
I have William Joseph's mother as Mary Clements Warnock, wife of Eli Warnock. I have no record of any other marriages for her.

Only the person who added the photo, which is you, can delete it. Calvin can not. You must be signed in to your findagrave account. Then go to the photo and look at the top where it says "Delete Selected Photo" then delete it and then add anoter if you like.
|Tony Middleton||Regarding Burial Unknown|
In response to your statement that it's okay with Find A Grave to record unknown burials, this is a direct cut and paste from the Find A Grave help page:
"Location of body unknown should be used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition should be determined and updated within 30 days."
After all, we are contributors to a site called FINDAGRAVE.COM, not BURIALUNKNOWN.COM.
And to say that because there are plenty of other Burial Unknowns out there, that's really just a form of two wrongs make a right, and that's not what our parents taught us. Two wrongs do NOT make a right. Recording memorials as burial unknown is wrong, no matter how you might try to justify it, it's wrong, and goes against everything this website is predicated upon. It is FIND a grave!

Olivia, Many Thanks for your info. Plz. accept my apology by not getting the info posted sooner.
Thank you for commemorating our Confederate ancestors. BTW, it is completely in compliance with Find A Grave TOS to create a memorial "without knowing where someone is buried." Just indicate "cemetery unknown." There are more folks buried without a marker than with. Do the math.

I do know better. This was an error, not a sign of disrespect. I have removed the flag.

Olivia you DO realize that creating memorials for folks without knowing where they're buried is a big NO NO on Find A Grave right?
|Jerry C. Goldsmith||Marvin Hilton Williamson|
I would sincerely link to thank you and other volunteers for all of your work with findagrave.
My ex-sister-in-law, Trena Williams was married to Marvin Williamson prior to his death. She has remarried and still lives in Vidalia. Although I was divorced from her sister, Treva Williams, I have remained friends with Trena for 40 years.
I recently contacted Trena after noticing that I had done very little work on that side of the family and I am trying to catch up. Trena told me that she is the last of the siblings and has been very helpful. You have made it much easier with your postings.
