I was born and raised in Mobile, AL, graduated from Theodore High School, earned a BSME from Auburn University, moved to Choctaw Co, AL in 1981, married a local gal and am still here. Growing up in Mobile with it's coastal forts and Spanish Fort & Blakeley battlefields, it was understandable that I developed an interest in the Civil War. After the death of my father-in-law in 1997 we were going through some family papers and found that his grandfather was in the 40th Alabama Infantry Regiment. I started looking in the local cemeteries for him and really had a blast; so here I am 14 years later, a confirmed genealogy-aholic.|
Feel free to use any pics I post for the use of you, family & friends. If you have updates, corrections or transfer requests, I'll try to honor them within FaG guidelines regarding family connections.

I am Francis Marion and Martha Snow's great grand-daughter. My grandmother does not appear
as one of their children.
Please add this correction ASAP to Francis Marion Snow and Martha Fatima "Tiny" Snow's Find-a-Grave pages under children:
Lula Estelle Snow, b.July 4, 1888, Wilmer, AL; d. Sept.24,1973, Euless, TX; married Burton Lee Williams, Dec.26, 1909, Wilmer, AL.
The second picture posted here on Francis Marion Snow's page is one I gave Dave to use on the site. It was taken in Lula Snow Williams' backyard!
(cousin from TX)

PS I just made a tombstone picture request for Charlton Washington Britt, which should lead you to the cemetery that I think he is in.

David - Are you familiar with a Yantly Cemetery?
I have added Charlton Washington Britt in the same cemetery in Yantly that his son is in and noticed you took that tombstone picture for his son. One of my cousins is a Britt and I am adding his people onto Find A Grave for him, but I want to be sure I add them into the correct cemetery.
I noticed you have a lot of Britt people entered too. Maybe we are all related.
Write me directly and let me know if you might be able to do a little searching for me.

Thanks so much for the photo of a missing family member we had been searching for. It is a great photo and answers what happen to Alice and Henry Warren Scott's daughter Elizabeth, this is so exciting.

Dear Mr. Snow,
I was doing some more research on my husband's GG Grandfather Little Berry Norfleet Brown and found your posting on Find A Grave. My husband and I have been up to Choctaw County twice in the last few years looking for his grave as well as his daughter's, Chippie Lee Brown. It makes me wonder if we've looking in the right cemetery. Could you give me the location you found? Also, do you think it's possible to raise that stone, clean it up, and get a legible picture of it? Little Berry Norfleet Brown is a proven Confederate Veteran with the Sons of Confederate Veterans. I did the paperwork myself for my husband to join SCV. We live in Pensacola, FL so it's little difficult for us to get up there.
Please let me hear from on this matter,

Corrections have been made. My wife, Linda, and I are happy to update information at any time.
At the present we are trying to find the cemetery for the grave of Thomas Edgar Donald's mother. We know that she is buried in Sumnter Co AL and we think she is in Solum Cementery outside of York AL. If you find anything on her (Martha Reid Webb), we would very grateful. Have a wonderful day.
Wayne and Linda Chandler
